I have lots of crochet books. It wasn't like I needed a new one. But when I saw this one, I HAD to have it. Something about the way the patterns looked on the pages just called to me. The really lovely compilation of so many lacy looking patterns. So many beautiful......well, you get the idea.

Once home with my treasure, I was not dissapointed one bit! I have only had this book a few weeks and already I have made several shawls based on patterns within it's wonderful covers.

With summer coming, it is an extra bonus to have a large choice of open patterns styles to work with in those lucsious summer yarns I have in my ever expanding stash.

Any crochet addict will want this book. Anyone just starting out with crochet will love this book. Need I say more!!?

Each full-colored page contains two shell patterns in close detail, using white/cream yarn and a pastel background, so you can easily see how the pattern will look. I found many new shell patterns I've never seen before, plus old favorites. I highly recommend this book.

This is a wonderful book of crochet pattern stitches that would work for a variety of projects. I refer to it again and again.

This book only contains written instructions and assumes that you know the basic crochet stitches needed to create the shell patterns. There are no diagrams showing how stitches are made and no international crochet symbols accompanying the written instructions. The photos are clear with white yarn against pastel backgrounds.

This book was so helpful and really expanded my repertoire. There are interesting designs for all levels of skill, the pictures are helpful, and the directions are clear.

As a prolific crocheter I love being able to get new pattern/design ideas at a glance and this book did it for me! Shells are a very popular crochet design and this is a large book full of various shell designs. I will use it over and over again to develop my own patterns or add to ones that I use.

I just love this book! It is the only book I have that is just shells. Some of the examples are tightly woven, and some are more open. I have used the patterns for all sorts of yarns & even threads. The pages are glossy, thick--good quality. All the photos are in color. All examples are using the same color (white) yarn which gives you an accurate comparison. Instructions are clear & easy to read. Some patterns are great for the beginner, and a few are for more experienced crocheters. The only improvement I would give is to put in charts. The photos are clear enough to help, but charts would be a great addition.

This is an amazing book for any level of crochet experience. The instruction are very clear and you aren't stuck with a set size. It allows you to choose how big or small with the pattern repeats.

If you love the shell stitch at all, this is a must have book for your crochet library. It will give you a multitude of shells stitches at your fingertips.

This may be the best crochet book I have ever bought. I didn't want a book with more chunky hat patterns, or afghan patterns. I wanted a book of stitch patterns. That's what this book is. I wanted patterns that I can use for the simple enjoyment of beautiful yarns. My first project using this book is a scarf made with mohair. I wanted to do a lace, but my knitting skills are not as good as my crochet skills. The use of simple white yarn for all of the patterns in the book got me thinking that my project could be as light and airy as lace. My scarf is beautiful. If I want to make a thick, warm afghan, these patterns will work just fine for that as well.
