5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book From A Devoted Knitter
As a devoted knitter, I never thought I would crochet until I found this book, which features adorable clothing for children up to 4 years of age. The patterns are well written, quick to produce and made with affordable yarns. This book has converted me! Well worth the money!

3.0 out of 5 stars A few cute patterns
This book has a some cute ideas. For example, the little boys' collared jacket and girls' patriotic sailor emsemble are adorable. The overall "look" of a lot of the patterns is similar -- very basic. Most of the patterns for toddlers are pretty cute. Some of the patterns for older kids are sort of bigger versions of the patterns for the toddlers. For example, I would...

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to understand, January 22, 2004

This book is excellent for those who look at crochet patterns and become overwhelmed. The garments are simple and the instructions are well written and easy to understand. I have even found myself working out how to mix and match the designs, for example putting in longer sleeves on a sweater in the cardigan, plus add the hood from the pullover. Something I never thought I'd do! The fact that the designs are all made with the same size range for every garment makes this possible. Another great feature is that it has a diagram for every pattern showing all the pieces and what they should measure before sewing the garment together, which is very helpful to me as my tension changes all the time, so I just wing it until I have the right measurements. An excellent book

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!, December 12, 2004
This review is from: Crochet for Tots: 20 Fresh and Fun Designs (Paperback)
Okay, I maybe overdoing it a little as I have not much background on crocheting. But I am just so excited on finishing up this particular design for my twins. This book is excellent and contains many creative and fun designs. Although I wish it has more booties design as well. Highly recommended!

Most of the patterns for toddlers are pretty cute. Some of the patterns for older kids are sort of bigger versions of the patterns for the toddlers. For example, I would never send a school-aged kid out in public in a giant "onesie." Well, not if I liked the kid.

This book was full of great crochet for kids, with well written instructions. Full color pictures of each project really inspired me, and I've already created several of the outfits for my grandchildren. Excellent addition to any crocheter's library, and a super gift for anyone who enjoys crochet.

Love the designs and the yarn that is used. I had a hard time finding
the yarn at first, but finally found it at a local place.
I made the sweater with the hood and It came out very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for quick gifts and a modern look, October 28, 2009
This review is from: Crochet for Tots: 20 Fresh and Fun Designs (Paperback)
I am an experienced crocheter and I absolutely LOVE this book. True, the designs are simple but, like a good basic recipe, they are a great starting point for creativity. The pictures are excellent and the instructions easy to understand. They give you dimensional drawings that make it easy to adapt the patterns to different yarns and hook sizes. Even though the patterns are simple, they create sweaters, hats, etc that look modern, not old fashioned like so many crochet patterns for babies and toddlers. The hat on the cover is my favorite hat pattern ever for a little girl.

Best of all, since the patterns are SIMPLE, they work up FAST! That is the biggest plus for me. Between friends with grandchildren on the way and friends of my children who are having babies, I've become a regular crochet factory and this is my favorite baby pattern book.

3.0 out of 5 stars great for beginners, a little boring for the rest, December 30, 2006

I got this book when I first started making kid's clothes. It's great for that; easy instructions, projects come out as described, and I didn't need lots of buttons and other doodads for them. As I became more proficient I got bored, and starting improvising with the patterns and designs. This is a great beginner, basic book, but if you are experienced skip it and go for the Candi Jensen series.

I bought this book because it said fresh and fun designs but they were very simple and not all that fun. Good designs if your starting out and want to start a nice project.
