I've had this little crock pot for nearly a year and I use it much more often than my big fancy programmable slow cooker. The 2qt size is just right for heating up frozen bricks of homemade soup, stew, spaghetti sauce, etc. Put something frozen in at breakfast time and it's ready for lunch. Because the high setting runs hot it can simmer leftover meat and veg to make stock, and it's also good for cooking other long-simmer foods such as beans, lentils and wheat berries. Or just regular crock-pot meals for one or two people. It doesn't take up much counter space, either. Not so useful for a large family perhaps, but it's ideal for mine.

What's the point of a 2 quart cooker? (8 cups?) Most stews and soups or roasts need a bigger cooker, but if you like to entertain, a small crock pot with removable liner is great for appetizers like chile con queso, (or my fave, camarones con queso, shrimp and cheese dip.) You can keep hot dips like spinach dip, seven layer dip or melted cheese hot. Also good for hot dessert sauces. If you like to entertain buffet-style, a small crock pot is endlessly useful. You can even use it for fondue, either cheese/bread or chocolate/cake/fruit for dessert. This one is plain and simple, has low and high settings and does the job.

Theoretically, you could use this if you want to slow cook and you are the only diner at home. I think the limitations on the size of foods you can put in it make that a poorer choice than a standard size crock, but if you hate leftovers, it might work for you.

I bought this small crock pot as a gift, combined it with a cookbook specifically designed for small meals, and it was well received. I think it will be perfect couple's gift.

I love my crockpot. It is the perfect size for a person living alone at home or for a college student. :P

I have slow cookers of various sizes and I find this slow cooker to be perfect for making dinners that only my spouse and I will eat or for parties with only a few people. I regularly use it for soups and to make desserts.

I love that this cooker has a removable insert for easy cleaning. The glass lid is another nice feature. It's great to be able to examine the progress of your meal without lifting the lid. Additionally, multiple temperature settings allow the user to have greater control over cooking speed.

I have a Crock-Pot 32041-C 16-Ounce Little Dipper, Chrome, which is sold as a warmer for dips and sauces, but I feel it is almost too small for that purpose unless only feeding one. Additionally, the Little Dipper lacks the glass lid, removable insert and multiple heat settings. I much prefer this slow cooker for keeping gravies and dips warm when I am to have more than two people eating the particular food.

I purchased my two quart cooker from Big Lots for ten dollars and may procure a second because the size is perfect for so many things. I would recommend this product for students, couples and for those that host small gatherings.

I needed a smaller crock pot, to use when just cooking for a small number of guests or cooking specialty items, and this one really fits the bill. This nicely supplements my larger crock pot, and I use the smaller one twice as much as the larger one. It arrived quickly and in good condition, and was just as described.

This is a fantastic slow cooker! It is perfect for two to three people. I love it and use it all the time!!

I LOVE THIS!!! At first I thought it was too small. I use to cook taco meat or 2-3 servings of chili. It's really good for parties. Great gifts!

I bought one of these specifically for making over-night oatmeal. It did not work, it was too hot, most of the water evaporated and it burned to the side of the ceramic pot.
Otherwise it is a nice slow-cooker, just be aware that the low is not low.
