Perfect size for a three to four person family. The high setting heats up quickly but if used as many recipes describe for the duration of the cook time, it seems to dry out the food too much. Recommend the lower setting for cook times in the 5 to 6 hour range.
Would still recommend this product after using it for several weeks now.

I bought this for my household because we're always coming home after work and too tired to start cooking. Now, we're able to throw ingredients in it before work, set it on low, and head to work and when we come home, it's a ready-made meal! This size is pretty big for just the three of us, so we end up with leftovers for lunch the next day when we use recipes from the internet. The only downside to this crock pot is that there is no timer, so you have to start it before you leave the house if you want it to be done when you get home. That's not a big problem because most of the recipes we found say to put it on low for 8 hours and when we've left it for an hour or so more, the food was still fine.
