I got this as a birthday present, and I'm glad to have it. It works great. Just put the food in, turn it on, and forget it. In a little while your place will be filled with the great scent of whatever it is you're cooking. The crock comes out for easy cleaning. I put mine in the dishwasher, and it comes out clean. The only complaint would be is finger prints showing up very easily, and the outside of the unit gets HOT when using it. I don't think this would be the best for a house with small kids because of those facts. But, that doesn't take away that this is a great slow cooker made by the original company to make them. I liked it so much that I bought one for my parents whose 30 year old crock pot had finally died!

Have been very pleased with this product so far, it was just the size and look that I was looking for. Love the
oval shape of crock and the ease of its use and clean up. So far I have not had any unexpected problems or see anything that I would change. I recommend it to anyone who just wants a nice slow cooker that gets the job done, no fancy requirements needed.

Loved this crock pot until the lid got broken. I wrote to Rival to see about getting the OVAL lid replaced, they stated the lid could not be purchased. So now have a Rival Crock pot with NO lid. Would not have purchased this Rival Crock pot had I known there would not be replacement parts. we were told by Rival we would have to purchase another cooker.
Guess what? We have recently purchased a new Hamilton Beach crock pot/slower cooker. We are thrilled with the Hamilton Beach cooker. Take that rival.
