We purchased this crockpot to replace another brand that we had owned only a year before the crock cracked and began leaking. I like the fact that the crock on this one is black (our other one was white and stained terribly) because it's easy to keep clean. The digital style timer/temp control is wonderful and there is a light that comes on to let you know that the crockpot has been turned on (there were many times we forgot to turn the other one on after adding the ingredients). I also like how, after it's done cooking (based on the time you selected 4, 6, 8 or 10 hours) it automatically switches to "warm". The only complaint I have if I have to have one is that the lid just sits on the top (meaning there is no seal or suction) so it's not something you'd want to take in the car to bring food to a church or school function.
