From the Back Cover

After a violent revolution ends in East Timor, Steve Irwin arrives on a special mission - to save two of the largest reptiles in the world. After rescuing a tormented female crocodile, Steve finds a twelve-foot-long male in an eight-foot enclosure. Nearly as strong as its dinosaur relatives, the croc thrashes at the rescue team, its powerful body cracking a concrete wall. But as the locals look on in wonder, Steve gives this magnificent creature his freedom - helping an entire nation to heal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible!!!, July 29, 2002
By A Customer
It's a shame that this particular episode didn't make a DVD, because this is one of the most incredible rescues that Australia Zoo has ever undertaken, surpassing even the Bunya Rescue (unfortunately not available for home purchase.)

This episode truly exemplifies what Steve Irwin & the Australia Zoo team will go through, in order to save the lives of the wildlife they value so highly. You get a somewhat deeper insight into the working of the Zoo -- an advance team led by Zoo Director Wes Mannion was sent in; he was aided by Head Croc Keeper Brian Coulter. Even before the camera crews arrived, these men were working to find the supplies necessary to build two croc enclosures in war torn East Timor.

When Steve arrives, things really begin to heat up. The crocs have been kept in appalling conditions; and it is amazing to see this man risk (literally) life and limb in order to save them! If more people in the world had dedication such as this (towards animals, and I dare say, each other!), we would live in a better place.

My favorite of all the episodes available for home release to date -- a worthy purchase, even if you are not a Croc Hunter "regular". (And you may just be, after seeing this video!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Steve Irwin in action is ~awesome~., May 4, 2001
By A Customer
I've seen a lot of "Crocodile Hunter" and I have to choose this episode as my favorite. We can see Steve's reacting to the terrible condition of the two crocodiles and dealing with moving them to new locations so expertly. At one point the male crocodile goes into a death role while Steve is trying to subdue and move him, and you can see the point where his arm *almost* breaks. He keeps going so professionally. When I'm having trouble at my job sitting at a computer, I just think about what Steve faces each day because of his love for animals! If you enjoy "Crocodile Hunter" this is a must-own video.

1.0 out of 5 stars Irresponsible and anything but educational.
I assume this video, and in fact this series, is intended for a young audience interested in learning about nature. Read more
