5.0 out of 5 stars Steve Irwin's THE BEST!
I absolutely agree with the previous reviewer. This is great stuff, but so is everything this man does. He is one in a million. Spitting cobras become soooo fascinating in his hands. He takes risks that are mind boggling. Crikey is an understatement. We tend to use much stronger language when we are watching him. In our household, he has us holding our breath, laughing,...

1.0 out of 5 stars No way to handle venomous snakes.
Teachers and parents should be advised that Steve Irwin is far more interested in Steve Irwin looking daring than in young peoples' welfare. If North American kids try handling any of our resident deadly snakes the way Irwin does, they'll end up very sick or possibly dead. Even non-venomous snakes should not be handled this way. Of course, the video does not...

He takes risks that are mind boggling. Crikey is an understatement. We tend to use much stronger language when we are watching him. In our household, he has us holding our breath, laughing, covering our eyes, sitting on the edge of our seats, and learning so much we never knew while he entertains us. This is BRILLIANT stuff. Don't miss it.It's hard to find anything else that comes close to being this much fun! I love spitting cobras since watching this video. But I love Steve Irwin even more!

5.0 out of 5 stars This makes you feel all better BY CRANKEY, January 11, 2001

I was sick and my mom bought me this video and their must have been a supernatural force but I felt a lot better. Steve goes out of his way and finds these spitting cobras for our interest and viewing pleasure. You have to wear sunglasses because they spit venom at your eyes. They spit so much venom at his sunglasses the venom was just dripping off them. He got some venom in his eye and that can cause blindness. Does Steve go blind? Find out in this 5 star beauty of a movie. Crocodile Hunter's #1 fan

This is a good video. Kinda boring. It shows a cobra spit at Steve without sunglasses. I say wait until this comes on TV again.

If North American kids try handling any of our resident deadly snakes the way Irwin does, they'll end up very sick or possibly dead. Even non-venomous snakes should not be handled this way. Of course, the video does not >advocate< children handling snakes in this fashion, (So the distributors of this series could not be sued!) but that is not how a young audience works. There is a considerable risk that if something appears cool, it is worth "having a try" on one's own.
