5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE my Crocs - But shrinking is a issue
I absolutely love my crocs. I currently own 4 pairs (used to be 5 pairs) and I will continue to purchase more, hopefully one of every color! However, that being said, I was extremely disappointed in the companys response when I let them know that I to, had a pair shrink over two full sizes on me. 2.0 out of 5 stars Very comfortable, hate the shrinking and warping
I've had my pair for only three weeks. I went out in the wet grass in my yard this morning and then left the wet shoes on my covered porch. Went out 45 minutes later, and the left shoe was warped and the right shoe had shrunk. It was only 90 degrees outside, so this is unacceptable. Will not buy another pair.

I absolutely love my crocs. I currently own 4 pairs (used to be 5 pairs) and I will continue to purchase more, hopefully one of every color! However, that being said, I was extremely disappointed in the companys response when I let them know that I to, had a pair shrink over two full sizes on me. I also left mine in the car (one shrunk, the other did not). I can appreciate the fact that the shoes are made of special material that conform to our feet, and that is what makes them shrink in extreme heat, however, it would have been nice had that been mentioned on the packaging or on their website. I know I'm correct in stating that it is pretty common to leave a pair of shoes in a car, but had I known as I do now, I would have been very careful about it, as I am now. I contacted Crocs on two occasions about it, and both times received the same form letter from a spokesperson for Crocs, stating some garbage about how she went to a fair and her Crocs shrunk or something like that. I thought it was a rather absurd reply, since the company is actually admitting they know all about the shrinking factor, but chose not to let their customers know about it. I've had no luck in getting my pair replaced.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great until they shrunk, May 24, 2006
This review is from: Crocs Beach (Apparel)
Please be advised, they do shrink. Mine were great for the week until I left them in the car during a bike ride. I went to slip them on afterward (post-bike being a main reason for the purchase) and they were tight. I assumed my feet had swelled until I noticed they were still snug and short the next day. Still refusing to believe it, I went to a store to try some on again. Sure enough, it wasn't in my head. They had shrunk more than 1 croc size (I was borderline XL/XXL and my XXLs were now smaller than the XLs).
To make a long story short, I think there should have been a warning on the label. I don't think it's an obvious assumption that beach sandals will shrink dramatically in the sun/heat. I would have taken more care in these conditions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Crocs Rock!, November 7, 2005
This review is from: Crocs Beach (Apparel)
I have had shoes that force your foot to conform to its shape, but Crocs conform to your foot! I love my Crocs, they are so comfortable and light, it feels like you are walking on a marshmallow. You can wear them in the shower, driving, in line at the post office or wherever. They come in tons of colors if you look around. My 9 year old son starting wearing these last April, it is November and colder but he still will not wear anything else. He swears that nothing else feels so good. I am buying him another pair due to his growth but the others look like new, they have held up well. They never smell like his tennis, as they are anti-microbial. They mold to your foot as you wear them, and it's your own body heat that does it. The interior actually molds itself to your foot as your body temperature warms and softens the material. They have a nice wide toe box, and a orthotic footbed with good arch support, and it cups your heel nicely. It has little tiny raised bumps on the sole that massage your feet and keep air circulating so you don't get sweaty.

They float if you drop them overboard, unlike the rubber clogs from other companies. They are very light, so light they feel like air and you may mistake them for being flimsy but they are tough. When they are dirty you can hose them off, wipe them with a rag and they look new again. They do not tear or scrape, and they leave no marks on the floor, and they give you traction on a wet floor. They have a strap that you can tilt forward like a clog, or slip behind your heel for a more secure fit. There are knock off brands that copy the look but not the feel as the others are heavy rubber, and not comfortable at all. With crocs you can stand on them all day, and they breathe unlike rubber. The nurses really were the first folks to flock to these, since they are on their feet all day they really watch out for comfort first. But these are great at the pool, the beach, wherever, and they are so cheap and come in so many colors you can afford to have a few. Also try Keens Newport H2 sandals.

1.0 out of 5 stars Crocs Shrink! Don't Buy!, July 21, 2006

BUYER BEWARE: Unless you're never going to accidently leave these out in the sun or in your car on a hot day, don't buy them. They shrink up like a wool sweater in the dryer. My pair shrunk almost 2 sizes. They're worthless to me now.

I hope word of mouth spreads about this shrinkage problem and Crocs either improves their warranty or goes out of business.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shrunk Crocs can be fixed, August 3, 2007
This review is from: Crocs Beach (Apparel)
I have a pair of Croc's "Sandal" style. I left them on the back patio and they shranked to a point I could barely get them on. So thinking back to my high school football days when I had to heat up my mouth piece in boiling water to form it. I put my Croc's in boiling water for 1-2 mins. and slipped them on after knocking the hot water off in. Kept them on until they cooled down and now they fit better then I first bought them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love, love, love these shoes, July 22, 2005
This review is from: Crocs Beach (Apparel)
I fell in love with this shoe. I am on my feet 12 to 16 hours a day. I tried Airwalks knock offs and they failed. I wore my crocs one day for 16 hours and the next day the knock offs. When I came home I was bare footed and sore. Not just my feet, but my legs and rear. I will never not ever where another knock off. It is crocs or it is barefeet there is no happy medium. Not to mention the maintenance of this shoe is the simplest ever. Stick them in the dishwasher and they are clean once again. Not just clean, but they look brand new. Did I mention I love, love, love these shoes?

1.0 out of 5 stars fatal flaw, August 12, 2005

These shoes were great for the first 3 weeks until one day when I left them in the car. One of the crocks sat in the sun and shrank half a size. I called the company, they know about the shrinkage issue, but unless you bought them through their web site, they'll do nothing to help you. I've worked around the outdoor retail business for years, and have never run into a more frustrating return policy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Who Knew That They Shrink?!?, February 2, 2008
This review is from: Crocs Beach (Apparel)
Agreed, they ARE comfortable and perfect for slipping on to run outside, doing errands around the house, and running errands in general. However, these shoes shrink! I thought leaving them on the back step for quick access was a good idea, but I guess it wasn't. Shame too because they are Disney Crocs with great little Mickey-head cut-outs in them. Thank goodness they're inexpensive so they can be replaced.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Amazing Shrinking Croc, August 15, 2007
This review is from: Crocs Beach (Apparel)
I loved my croc flip flops. I bought them in later spring and until yesterday, I pretty much wore them everyday. They were so light weight and I have a foot injury, so they didn't hurt my foot like my other sandles. I had to attend a funeral yesterday afternoon, so I threw my tennis shoes and crocs in my gym bag for after the funeral. When I got done working out, I went to slide my crocs on and couldn't fit my foot into them. THey are warped and at least two sizes smaller. I will probably buy another pair, but think they should have at least warned me.
