What happened if japanese animators imported every adult swim DVD and threw it up onto the television screen. Gorillas, Freddy Mercury, why does the robot have a brother? genius.

More short, funny(!) and culturally detailed adventures of the guys at Cro-High.One character changes (literally). one is kidnapped (again!) and in general, the same chaos erupts as usual. If you love comedy anime, get volume 1, watch it, then get this one. You will NOT be disappointed.

As if 8 well thought out episodes was not enough, another 6 well done ones to add to that is a wow factor. We are introduced to mechazawa's younger brother, and Takeshi Hokuto and Hokuto's Lackey are developed a bit more. Before you even choose an episode, the CD/record store intro. is very suave. You don't find out until later on on another disc why Hokuto's Lackey is called Hokuto's Lackey instead of by his name. There's also an extra indicating that Hokuto's Lackey's name and character were so hard to remember that even one of the creators of the manga /anime himself had a hard time remembering who that guy was. Bikyoran, who is apparently a previously well known Japanese music artist, has some "new" material on this disc. The new material is turns out to be a lot of cutting and pasting, but it does not take away from the series at all! We meet Maeda's mom for the first time who supposedly resembles Maeda in a creepy way. Doesn't really look that way to me, but maybe I let her hairstyle distract me too much from the rest of her appearance. There's a birthday party for Maeda, and I think Maeda, Takenouchi, and many others are on a nice boat ride on this one! Maeda's mom and Mechazawa meet for the first time, Cromartie and Bass show their rivalry including Bass's kidnapping of Maeda and fight versus Mechazawa, an alien shows up, Takenouchi gets to take a trip to the US while two masked men take his place, there's a cool motorcycle introduced, Yamaguchi, the comedian, is introduced, who is funny, but not really, there's ventroliquism where we are introduced to Akira Nakao and his friend, Mick, and the possibilities of great antics don't end there. I haven't told you the meat of it, and I can't. It really is surprisingly funny- all the things the creators thought of. You either really like it or you don't care for it pretty much. There's also a great episode where a group of Cromartie students goes on a field trip to some forest and Freddie finds a noodle shop. As in the first disc, Kamiyama from time to time is always writing letters to his mother like as if he's some innocent student. Yeah, right!
