I have enjoyed these stories since I was in elementary school, and now I am enjoying them again while learning Spanish. Overall the translation seems fine to me, but once in a while I notice something that appears to be a glaring error. I'll share two examples from El León, la Bruja, y el Ropero:

English: "There was nothing else in the room at all except a dead blue-bottle on the window-sill."
Spanish: "Allí no encontraron nada más, excepto una botella azul en la repisa de la ventana."

(A "blue-bottle" is a house fly, but the Spanish calls it a blue bottle.)

English: "The hags made a dart at him and shrieked with triumph...."
Spanish: "Las hechiceras le arrojaron un dardo y chillaron triunfantes...."

(Unless I am mistaken, the Spanish says they threw a dart at him.)

These occasional mistakes might not bother everyone, but they bothered me, and I thought they were worth mentioning. Again, the stories are still great.

Finally this great collection in Spanish. We have the audio theater of all 7 books in English and its spectacular. I wanted to have a simple book written for a child in Spanish to share with others. This book wonderfully portrays the same story as the English version does. My only disappointment is that in translating they made up some words and also misspelled some things in Spanish (mistakes are few). All in all this book is great for adults and children. Powerful message too!

This is a bargain if you want the whole collection, but the book is of very thin paper, the letter is smaller and harder to read than the indiviual books, but all this is necesary to make it fit in a big size book, instead of the whole collection.

Me parece una compilacion genial pues tienes los siete titulos en un libro que puedes llevar a donde sea. La historia... ya la conocemos, una magnifica inmersion en un mundo de fantasia y aventura. Defectos... la letra es un poco pequeña pero es comprensible cuando se acomodan 7 libros en un mismo volumen. Si no tienes problemas de la vista pues te encantara entonces tener un volumen en vez de siete.

I bought this book to my son who after seeing the movies got hyped on learning about the other stories. I couldn't find some of the books in my country (Costa Rica) so I started looking for other options. I was about to buy the books separately but then I found this one at an unbeaten price. Although it's a bit heavy after a while--they're all 7 books included-- it's great to have them all together. The cons I found is that 1. since it's paperback the corners of the cover get aged easily and 2. really fine print. For children looking for easy reading, this is definitively not it since there are words and words with few pictures on each story. If your child loves reading no matter what, then proceed to check out. My son already finished book 1 and 2 and still reading!

Me encontre con este libro porque no encontraba todos los titulos individuales en Costa Rica. Iba a comprarlos por separado pero me encontre con esta compilacion de los 7 libros de Narnia a un precio inmejorable. El libro es pesado (son 7 libros en 1) y la letra es pequeña y las esquinas de la tapa se doblan facilmente, pero creo que fue muy buena inversion. NO es lectura ligera para niños que no les guste leer porque no tiene muchos dibujos... si al caso un par por libro. Sin embargo, si es un avido lector, le gustara mucho pues tiene una descripcion inmejorable. Se lo recomiendo! My hijo ya se leyo el libro 1 y 2 y aun lo esta leyendo :)

The translations of the seven stories are presented in a faithful rendition of the original English. I enjoyed the stories and while the font was smaller, it was still easy to read and follow. Some of the words in the vocabulary were new to me, so I spent some time in a Spanish-English dictionary.

I would recommend this translation.

hola otros lectores diran que el libro esta mui no se no mui bueno por las letras que tiene segun ellos solo si no puedes ver bien el libro sera dificil de leer pero a mi parecer las letras estan a suficiente tamano para que toda la gente las pueda leer 100% las puedes leer amenos ke estes mui ciego...

perhaps other said fonts are very small but to me isn't like that
its 100% readable to anyone only if u have eye problems well that
probably be some problem but if u has a good view u the book is not
like they said.
