Music for Humans, December 9, 2005
This review is from: Crook of My Arm (Audio CD)
I had the pleasure of playing a few shows with Ali Roberts in Scotland right before this albumn came out. It was as amazing live as it is in this recording. If you like traditional music of any sort you'll find this a treat. His guitar accompaniments are open and warm, the vocals honest and expressive. If you are sick of over produced, edited-beyond-being-human music, this record will welcome you back to the hearth of human beings. Real music by a skilled and rich performer

Simple in the most beautiful way!, June 21, 2002
This review is from: Crook of My Arm (Audio CD)
This album is a breath of fresh air to all those looking for pure, refreshing music. With only his acoustic guitar and his soothing, innocent voice, Roberts plucks his way into your heart, whoever you are. Whether you are English, Scottish, Irish, or even American, these songs will prompt many to take a walk down through the banks and braes of Bonny Doon, wherever that may be!
