Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

CROOKED KNIGHT: HOW IT ALL WENT WRONG FOR IEQ is a tale of greed, corruption and frustration. David Alexander gives his readers a ringside seat--a view that many never knew existed.

He exposes our false image of the trustworthiness and professionalism of the City of London, perhaps opening the eyes of the small investor for the first time.

Sir Richard Needham and his associates got away with corporate murder because the UK systems of law and finance failed the more than 1,650 IEQ PLC investors. These greedy men were permitted to pilfer IEQ's coffers and manipulate the legal system to their advantage. Now you can read how they did it.

We know who they are and we know what to look for--when you read `Crooked Knight' you will know who and what to avoid in future.

About the Author

David Alexander, an English barrister, was called to the Bar in 1975 at the Inner Temple, having eaten his required number of dinners, listened to Michael Crystal give tutorials at Oxford, and took his law degree flat on his back, totally pissed but very eloquent. He now resides in Borneo with his family.

This review is from: Crooked Knight: How It All Went Wrong for IEQ (Mass Market Paperback)
Don't buy this book for its literary style. The author is clearly not a professional writer. But style aside, the book gives a facinating account of a sordid (but fairly 'normal') episode of sharp practice in the City of London. The sad thing is that this kind of dirty dealing continues today as much as it ever did.
