I'm usually a huge fan of Ms. Allen's work. I buy all of her novels and generally enjoy them. Unfortunately I can't say the same for this one. It started off well and I really got into it and liked both the lead characters, however midway through the novel the actions of Bree, the protagonist, had me thinking that she was one dumb broad. It's one of those stupid misunderstandings in a novel, where, had the characters just been honest with each other, they would've saved themselves a lot of trouble. Sometimes those misunderstandings are believable, but in this case all I could think was, "Is she serious???" The book is worth reading if you like BBW heroines but this is not one of Allen's best work.
