This thing is great. It's made with real wood, and it looks damn cool to watch in the dark. It gives off an authentic 50s feel and as such, I made sure to load up my ipod with a 50s playlist exclusively for use with the ijuke. The speakers pump out sound good and clear, I've heard complaints on some of the cheaper models that the speakers are bad, but on this model I can't hear any static or distortion from the speakers, although it does have some plugs in the back to hook up to external speakers if you'd like. Some complaints though, there isn't an external jack for non-ipod mp3 players, so I had to buy one for this; also after about a day I noticed the speakers got very quiet and it got hard to hear my music. I fixed this by muting and then unmuting it, but it worries me that the speakers could give out unexpectedly even though it's working fine now. The biggest complaint I have is that it's only possible to control the machine with the remote that comes with it. It has two awkwardly placed buttons on the inside for turning the machine and the lights on and off, but controlling the cd player and the volume all requires the remote. If you ever lose the remote or it breaks for some reason, you're screwed. It wouldn't have hurt to add some manual controls onto the machine itself so I don't have to worry about losing the remote some day.

Conclusion: A great buy that's aesthetically pleasing. A few complaints, but overall I'm completely happy with it and I suggest it to anyone that's a fan of the 50s such as myself. Nothing says class like listening to smooth 50s rock while sipping coke out of a glass bottle.

iJuke February 14, 2011
My husband bought 2 of these for our boys at Christmas. They look cool, but the quality of the speakers is very poor...Our complaint is with the iPod's. When you attempt to dock the iPod, it is very touchy and half the time we cannot get it to work. Cool to look at, the CD player works fine, but iPod docking station and the speaker quality is crap...

Crosley iJuke Jukebox November 25, 2011

The Crosley iJuke is such a unique music system. I had been looking at the Bose Wave prior to finding this CD player & iPod player, and do not regret that decision one bit. For the HUGE addition in retro looks of this machine in addition the the fact that the cost/price is easily cut in half no matter where you get it, this jukebox is a wonder!
The iJuke is compact and lightweight so can sit easily on a counter, tabletop or bookshelf and it's a cinch to pick it up and carry room to room if you want to do that. The remote has a pocket on the back of the unit, click it in and GO. The best feature is of course the retro look and colorful lights that illuminate a room with festive sparkly colors.
My only suggestions to the manufacturers would be:
1) The remote only operation - there are no dials to operate the system other than using the remote control. The remote works fine, but ya never know when the dog or the kid might run off with the remote, know what I mean?
2) There is no radio. That would make it a full functioning machine. Again, an option that would certainly add to value.
For those considering the purchase of this cool machine, after owning it for awhile those are the only two possible concerns I see. If the facts that you can only operate it with a remote and that it has no radio don't bother you much, then just hit BUY!
No regrets here, love my Crosley iJuke baby jukebox!
