There is nothing redeeming about this iPod dock. No bass, no treble, just midrange. It can't even get very loud. It crackles. It pops. It hisses. If it were in the "free" pile at a garage sale I still wouldn't want it. The sound of the iDeco is so terrible that I'm writing this review on amazon.com with the hope that nobody ever makes the same mistake I made. Seriously, don't buy it -- it's terrible.

this is stylish and the sound is great, plenty loud for use on a desk or small room. The sound is crisp. If you want to change your bass or treble just change it in your ipod menu. Bass sound is great too. I would recommend for desk use, not sure if its good enough quality for large rooms. Comes with aux cable and remote, no issues with the remote. Missing one star due to the fact I cant hook up my android to it.

This is my second Crosley radio/speaker and it's possibly my favorite item in my home. Crosley makes simple vintage inspired products that perform as you expect them to. This is simply a speaker for your Ipod. It's solid in it's constuction and the sound quality is on par for a mid range speaker. It's not a Bose, but my ear has detected no issues with the sound.

I was looking for an Ipod dock that fit in with a minimalist and vintage decor that played music loud enough to be heard in the downstairs of my house (about 750 sq ft). This is perfect for my needs.

There are dozens and dozens of docks on the market--they do the same job--but Crosley's looks excellent while doing it. As another reviewer pointed out, there is no bass or treble control, so take note if that matters to you. It doesn't to this reviewer.

It does crackle when it's turned on and off, which is reminiscent of original radios.

(1) Positives: Sound quality is pretty good, looks are great, controls are simple and intuitive, but adequate -- and it does play your stored tunes from both the iphone (either docked or via a separately-purchased 3.5mm aux cord), as well as and from an Android-based smartphone through aux cord. (2) Negative: Not NEARLY loud enough - just doesn't get very loud at all. (3) Negative: The iphone/ipod, when docked, is just "hanging up there" in the air, with no support at all - very very fragile; absurdly so in fact; just reaching over in the dark to hit snooze when using the thing as an alarm clock (which is what I bought it for), without being careful, could likely break the connection gizmo, by pushing it over backward - you can touch it and move it to where it wobbles. (4) Negative: Using the built-in alarm clock that comes on an iphone when docked - doesn't work - the alarm sound does not go through this speaker unit. (5) Negative: Using the built-in alarm that comes with iphone, and hooking iphone to the back via 3.5mm aux cable - doesn't work - the alarm sound does not go through to this speaker unit. (6) Negative: Using the built-in alarm that comes with an Android phone, and hooking android phone to the back via 3.5mm aux cable - doesn't work - the alarm sound does not go through to this speaker unit. (7) Neutral to slightly negative: If you want to use a speaker like this as an alarm clock, it would be nice to have a large clock readout, which this doesn't have, but not a big deal, since you can get apps with larger readouts and besides, you add a complexity level of synching with the unit's clock from the phone's clock if it did that. (8) Unknown: At this point, I didn't try using one of the aftermarket apps on either phone (iphone or android) which allows you to use an an existing song in your mp3 collection as the song to wake up to (or a selection of sounds specific to that app) - may work; dunno; probably would. Pretty worthless though for an alarm clock, even IF an added app would do that, for my purposes, because it's simply not loud enough to wake a very heavy sleeper. Returned it. Got the Logitech S715i instead, and pleased with this substitute - much louder, great sound, and support behind the iphone (the first 1/3 of the back anyway) when docked and sticking up so you don't accidentally push it over and break it.

The Crosley iDecor is similar to Apple products in that it's good looking and easy to use at the expense of control and customization. It's not like you're buying this because it offers more than competitors; you're buying it because it looks good. The sound quality is probably secondary, but in that it's pretty decent. The other reviewers may have gotten a bad batch from the factory because volume is plenty loud, although it does distort at its upper reaches. I don't listen to music very loudly, so I was more concerned by it's quality at lower volumes. In that I can say it sounds clear and enjoyable.

I would have preferred some dials as it gets by with only six buttons that unfortunately distract from it's retro feel. The included remote isn't very accurate (i.e. it barely works at all) which means I'm using the unusually loud clicking buttons to make changes.

Overall the Crosley iDecor is an above average speaker with a distinct look that you aren't going to find elsewhere at this price point.
