4.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect
I purchased this crossbow to be used in mock battles. I didn't want a full-out crossbow that would actually hurt someone, so I got this one after I read that it shot pretty far.

Ok, so I did what I had been told was the best way to use it: I chucked the plastic (dangerous) darts that came with it and ordered nerf darts. Only problem was that the nerf darts...

Yes, it is a cheap bow, but it's held up pretty good so far,it shoots pretty hard, and the darts seem to be durable.

Only problem was that the nerf darts are slightly smaller than the plastic ones. So I had to modify it a bit with some tape. This is only a problem is you're going to shoot your friends, like I am going to.

The problem that kept this from a 5 is the drawstring. The way the crossbow is designed, the string will unravel a bit after only a few uses. I would recommend wrapping the string with duct tape where it connects with the bow.

Other than those two things, I love this thing. I will be ordering two more just like it very soon.

This little crossbow is lots of fun to play with and the sights are really functional, as the dart will go where you aim it if you fire it from about 10 feet. I'm actually using this as a training device to teach sight picture acquisition for firearms. Darts don't stick for squat, but nor do they do damage. Great for knocking over action figures.

I bought this crossbow for my sisters family(mostly her 7 yr old son). I thought it was for her husband lol. They have really enjoyed this crossbow as a family and had great safe competitions with it. I would definately recomend this to anyone with children for safety and ease of use.
