5.0 out of 5 stars Crosman C11 BB Repeater CO2 Air Pistol
The specifications say up to 18 BB's but I had no problems putting 19 in the mag and had no problems shooting four mags through it loaded with 19 BB's. No jams or problems whatsoever. It can only be shot double action. The hammer does not move! However, the barrel does move! It actually extends forward from the plastic a little over 1/4 inch just before the trigger breaks...

Would have rated this higher. However, the handle, which is plastic of course, is not very secure when in place. In other words, if you were to hold the pistol by nothing more than the pull off handle, the gun slips right out of the handle and falls to the ground. Not good. I contacted the mfgr who quickly sent out a replacement handle that actually fit worse than the...

The specifications say up to 18 BB's but I had no problems putting 19 in the mag and had no problems shooting four mags through it loaded with 19 BB's. No jams or problems whatsoever. It can only be shot double action. The hammer does not move! However, the barrel does move! It actually extends forward from the plastic a little over 1/4 inch just before the trigger breaks and then recedes back when the shot is fired. The trigger pull is long and it takes some time getting used to remembering exactly where the breaking point is, but it does break fairly crisp. About power? Well... I don't have a chronagraph but by comparing to other guns that I do know the velocity of, I can say that yes, it's probably around 480 fps.
About accuracy? My vote is still out. As for now, I wasn't that impressed. I put a couple of drops of Crosman Pellgunoil on the CO2 and was using Crosman Copperhaed bb's, that might have an effect as well.
The looks, the feel, the capacity and the power, are not bad at all for a $40.00 gun! It's pretty good and fun for what it is, a plinker. As long as you keep in mind what you're getting vs what you're paying, I'm sure you'll agree that it's a great gun for the price. I don't think there is any other gun out there that has what this one has, for even close to the price. So if you want an inexpensive plinker that's good looking, has good power, & fun to shoot... BUY IT! If you do, I recommend buying two extra mags, as it comes with one, but you can easily get three mags from one CO2. HAPPY SHOOTING!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pistol/Great value, April 5, 2008
This is the third gas bb gun I have owned, and this one impressed me the most.
PROS- great styling, reminds me of Sig-saur hornet .22 cal.BEAUTIFUL finish for a plastic gun, looks very metallic.
- grip slides back to expose gas cartridge, no silly external reminders this is a bb gun
- well balanced weighty feel, heavy spring loaded clip
- tactical rail(I plan to buy a laser sight)
- very smart safety/fire switch;smooth, quick one handed operation
- good velocity
Cons- Only one complaint. At twenty feet, shoots low and right by about 2 inches.Groups about 2 inches.(what one expects in non-rifled pistol for $40)Will solve this issue with a laser sight.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great pistol for the price, January 25, 2007

So far ive had this pistol for about one month. It proves to be very efficient in accuracy and FPS. The gun feels sturdy in your hands and the Co2 cartridge is easy to load. The only thing that prevents me from giving this 5 stars is that the loading of BB's is tedious. Also if you have BB's in the clip and you slide it out a BB always pops out no matter what.

All in all this little pistol is a great buy. I promise you will not be dissapointed by the performance of this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little BB gun, November 21, 2006

First off the gun feels great in the hand. It is made with plastic but very well weighted. It actually has an 18 shot clip. The other review said that it was not as accurate as the Daisy but it seems to me that it is fairly accuate and a blast to shoot. It does not have a riffled barrel so I didn't buy it for accuaracy at long range anyway. If you do want this and a rapid fire get the 1088 it has a longer riffled barrel. I think Crosman did a great job designing this great little BB pistol.

1.0 out of 5 stars Died after ONE CO2 cartridge, November 9, 2010

This review is from: Crosman C11 CO2 Powered Semi-Automatic BB Repeater Air Pistol (Sports)
This worked very well for such a cheap gun, UNTIL I went to replace the CO2 cartridge. I went through four cartridges before I realized it wasn't me, it was the gun. The cartridge would not seal upon puncture, releasing ALL the CO2 at once. Granted, it was pretty cool making home-made dry ice, but a poor waste of a cartridge.

Crosman will NOT repair this model of gun, so my only hope is that they will at least exchange it for a new one.

EDIT: Crosman DID replace it and the new one works great! The only cost to me was shipping them the old gun.

Would have rated this higher. However, the handle, which is plastic of course, is not very secure when in place. In other words, if you were to hold the pistol by nothing more than the pull off handle, the gun slips right out of the handle and falls to the ground. Not good. I contacted the mfgr who quickly sent out a replacement handle that actually fit worse than the original. They mentioned that this handle fits many different pistols. I now use a strip of electrical tape to hold it in place. Not what I expected to have to due but it works.

4.0 out of 5 stars A much better buy than almost any sub-$40 airsoft gun, November 6, 2008
First of all, big plastic spring guns that look pretty and sound too good to be true are too good to be true. They suck. Most spring pistols are inadequate and expect to pay at least $25-30 or they will be terrible. Those sub-$100 AEGs you see out there are going to break or be weak-powered. That $50 "sniper rifle" airsoft gun is not going to work very well, will be slow, and won't shoot as far as this gun. For $35, this gun makes a good side arm in a battle. You can bring it to the field. Before you get laughed at for your spring action AK-47 that is both huge and horrible (and cost $40-60), consider that moderate strategy and strategic use of this gun can pay off when you go afield. Even a good LPEG/MPEG won't even get within range before you have the ability to take out it's user with one shot. If you get cornered, 14* (see below) shots in rapid accurate succession may easily save your behind. If you are a serious sniper, this will do far better service for you if someone with an AEG sneaks up on you. Don't even think about trying to pick them off with your bolt action if you're in range of their auto!

I bought this pistol and 2 extra clips for about $50 total. I was impressed immediately by the power and range of the pistol. With .12 gram BBs of high quality it will shoot straight for 80-50 feet depending on how recently you changed CO2. It will shoot at over 400 fps for maybe the first clip or two, and then decline. From moderate experience with airsoft and BB guns as well as advanced firearm ballistics knowledge I would guess that clips 3-10 of ammo will fall in the 380-340 fps range, which I find very acceptable. With .20 gram pellets the fps is at least 40-50 less, but it becomes very hard hitting and longer range capable. At least 25 yards range for many clips. I used crossman ammo in both cases, but the glow in the dark crosman .12 gram ammo was useless and inaccurate after 30 feet. Cammo ammo was my favorite to shoot, because it was straight shooting, long distance, and cheap.

Now for the lowdown. This gun is heavy and feels like a .22-.38 cal. automatic pistol weight wise. It is not blow-back, a quality of this gun which I prefer for function and longevity, as well as CO2 life. The outer body is durable-enough plastic. The trigger is solid and metal, as are the internal parts and the clips. The trigger pull is solid and long, much like a double action revolver, which is an accurate description of its rate of fire. It can be fired fast, with no delay but the speed at which you pull the trigger. I find pulling the trigger so satisfying that I tend to open up 5 shots on someone at a time even if 1-3 were all I needed. The sights are acceptable, and preferred for CQB.

Now for the part that looses this gun one star in my book. The clips are finicky. They are metal spring clips that can be loaded from the middle through a hole, but I find it easier to load from the top by hand or by speed loader. They are slim, as they do not contain the CO2 cartridge. Each holds 15 rounds. The unfortunate part is that the spring may loose power or jam occasionally and the portion on the bottom that allows the clip to be held open will start to slip eventually. Also, the clips are sometimes just bad. My friend has one of these guns, and his clip is almost unusable after 3 months, with spring strength poor. Of my 3 clips, one is in almost similar shape while the other two remain functional and good. I would suggest only loading 14 (* here) shots into these clips as this seems to increase spring life and insure the clip will feed properly each time (sometimes with 15 the guns fires without loading a bb the first time or two, a serious annoyance). In addition, never store the clips loaded. I would count on replacing all clips for this gun every 6-9 months if you use the gun a lot. For $10 for two clips this isn't terrible. The clip's small size makes it easy to carry a lot of them. The gun itself will last for years, although the grip cover maybe break if you slam it around a lot (easy to avoid :P ). It serves an aesthetic purpose though anyways.

Bottom line, if you are serious about a QCB gun, a back-up pistol, or a gun to plink with for pistol training, you can't do better than this gun for the price. Even a CO2 pistol that costs twice as much will barely outperform this gun in function and will fall short in terms of CO2 life. If you want to get the most out of your CO2 cartridge, you may get 200-250 shots out with the last 50 somewhere above 200 fps. If you want to scare your friends, they will soon learn that they should take cover when you point this thing in their direction during a battle. They will be waiting for you to reload to make the next move (you need extra clips for this reason). As a final note, this gun hurts way too much for t-shirt and goggles backyard wars. I use a Sig Sauer licensed P226 springer for that, and that still hurts almost too much. This gun is also way ahead of the game for any spring rifle replica or LPEG/MPEG, and .20 gram BBs will travel considerably farther than 100 feet with the ability to provide cover fire to an area or position. In QCB, a large "Oww!, #$%*!" will make it clear you have gotten a hit. In addition, the noise each shot makes is seriously more intimidating than the sewing machine sound of an AEG. I am glad I bought this gun. Remember, safety gear (including face portection) is a total must when using an airsoft gun and these are not toys for kids. Thanks for reading!

1.0 out of 5 stars what a piece of junk, January 23, 2011
This review is from: Crosman C11 CO2 Powered Semi-Automatic BB Repeater Air Pistol (Sports)
This thing constantly jammed on me. Very in-accurate. Couldn't hit a tin can more than 3 out of 10 shots from 30 feet. and no it's not my shooting. i can hit 9 out of 10 at 30feet with a real pistol in a 5 inch circle. after about 6 co2 cartridges the thing would no longer seal and the co2 leaked out within 5 minutes even without shooting it.

After very light use the magazine would not stay in. It felt like the spring had broken/slipped. I tried to take the gun apart to check and it just fell apart with springs and parts everywhere. Don't waste your money on this! I won't be buying any more Crosman items.

Heavy, realistic looking, very powerful and easy to load. Great for point shooting practice. This gun feels like a real 9mm, really compact and heavy, the metal clip drops out of the handle just like a real semi-auto gun. Great quality metal mags/clips with a solid feel. Specs say 15 shots but I had no problems putting 19 in the mag and shooting four mags loaded with 19 bb's. BUY IT! If you do, I recommend buying two extra mags as it comes only with one and.... for the max accuracy get a laser sight, it slides/mounts very easily on the rail underneath the barrel. With the C11 pistol the only thing you'll miss is a high price tag. Things I would have changed: CO2 cover....It will be much better if the flimsy grip/CO2 slide cover had a locking latch so, I decided to try a Rubber Slip'on Grip, like the ones used in real semi-automatic pistols and, guess what...it works great!!! The pistol feels very good and tight in your hand and at the same time holds the CO2 cover in place. You can buy a rubber grip for a very affordable price but the only problem is that you have to remove it everytime you change CO2's.
Now..my last negative comment is the DAO trigger and sight system on the C11, not to great for bullseye shooting.
