My kid wanted a slingshot for his 10th birthday. So I brought a Crosman Vortex because I trusted the Crosman name (I had a 760 BB gun as a kid and loved it).

He shot it 5 times and then he wanted me to try it. The strap broke on my first pull!!! Mind you that I'm just an avg size guy and a senior citizen to boot.

After looking online a bit, I read that Crosman slingshot straps break alot.

Based on some positive reviews, I've just ordered a Markman slingshot as a replacement.
