i paid less than $100 dollars for this rifle and I knew it was made in China so my expectations weren't real high, however when I received it it was securely packaged I was impressed with the overall fit and finish the wood stock is smooth and unblemished the metal was well polished and the blueing is nice and even, the rubber recoil pad is accurately installed. before I fired it I pulled a bore snake thru it several times to clear out any manufacturing debri left in the barrel. The accuracy of this rifle is better than I expected while it only has open sights on it for now I can easily hit a beer can at fifty measured yards. using crosman premium lead hollowpoints it will penetrate both sides of a Sapporo beer can at that distance. the nitro piston is quiet and the recoil is more like a pump up air rifle than a spring type. the trigger has a lot of creep but you soon get use to it because its consistent.buy it without the scope and shoot it for awhile then add a quality scope and mounts you wont be disapointed

This Rifle is accurate and powerful. I do not have the scope that is offered in some packages deals, because they can not ship it with the scope.(must be because some people (the left) think that makes it too scary looking).
Anyway, not too get caught up in that. It is a great pest & plink rifle and a very good value. I like the Hi Vis sights and do not need the scope.
Extremely fast shipping & I highly recommend it. Pyramid Air is THE BEST !!

I bought this for my 11 year old daughter. She's a great shot, but is a small child. She could only break this rifle over about three times before she gave up. It is EXTREMELY stiff and stout to cock. I put about 50 pellets through it and it shoots nice and only has a little kick. For my daughter, I had to remind her to really hold onto the forestock with her left hand to keep it on target for just a few seconds or it would almost jump out of her hand. This is one straight shooting and fast rifle, but I would not recommend it for kids under 100 pounds. Also, the rear sight is absolute junk. I put 9 pellets through it and the site exploded off the rifle. We are having to purchase another because it came off twice with less than 60 pellets through it. Get a better site and its a nice rifle.

This is good solid accurate rifle for the price with no frills and fancy gimmicks. In my opinion the gas piston has it all over a spring rifle. You just don't have that boyyyynnnng and the explosive vibration recoil that springer rifle has. You get more of a thud with some recoil that is more manageable. They last longer too. This is a good deal because you don't have to contend with a cheap scope included. Buy a scope and a one-piece mount of you choice and you'll be a lot more satisfied. I get dime sized accuracy at 30 yards(Crosman Premier Domed or HP's) with the occasional flyer because of a bad pellet or shooter error. Clean the barrel first, Loctite all the screws, get a good scope and mount, read lots of air rifle articles and practice, practice, practice.
