I find this book to be scholarly and profound--well-written and above all, interesting. Just what we have been looking for in a world where "the cross" means a thousand different things.

I am not a theologian but I have read enough to know when I've been hit with a my yearly allotment of "feminist theology" Some very interesting ideas but look at the cover it says it all__ this unfortunate emphasis keeps getting in my way. (I'm sure its my problem). The editor, I feel, improperly tags Karl Barth as a Universalist to support her position. I think many...
