This unit covers the unused front entry of our home. It is attached about 8 ft up from ground level. Works. The Voice Alert system has been a good purchase. Of course, we turn off the base unit when we're not home. At night, the unit is meant to report animal intrusions....mostly dogs. The bunnies don't seem to care and have regular dance parties outside, setting off the alarm. That's a good thing.
The bottom line is that this system works.
I think it is a little ridiculous to review just the sensor, but if you're in this online neighborhood you haven't bought the main alarm unit yet. Do it. It's a well thought out system and WILL keep you from being surprised when you're in your skivvies.
One last note: My other sensor is about 100 ft from the base and communicates well through several walls- including metal siding.

This sensor is excellent and I give it 5 stars; however, be aware that there is a small drainage hole drilled in the bottom of the sensor. I learned the hard way that insects can enter through this hole and destroy the electronics. I suggest that you glue a small piece of screen over this hole, or perhaps stuff a tiny piece of steel wool in the hole. This should prevent any problems.

This was the fourth of this product that I have purchased over the years...Works like a charm when installed, etc. properly. I feel safer in my home with this in use. (alerted me to two bugulars at 355am both of whom were caught).

This sensor works excellent so far, hope it holds up in the weather.

This product is wonderful. I live out in the country and my driveway is very long and the only way on to my property. Since I purchased the product I know when somone is arriving and I am usually waiting on them. I placed the sensor at the end of my driveway at least 200 feet away and I placed the base in the kitchen. This alarm has not missed one person. I have not had any false alarms but it does pick up chickens, dogs and the cat. I placed it 7 feet up on a tree and I built a little box to protect if from the weather and sun.
The only improvement I can think of would be more detailed instructions on this product like letting me know it is normal for the light to flash and that the flashing indicated it deteced someone. It would have been nice to know you can reset the flashing light by pressing the playback button. It turned out to be pretty simple but I had to figure out some of the features on my own. Also the battery is already in the sensor whey you purchase the product. You have to remove the plastic that it is wrapped in for it to work. Just nice to know. Otherwise it was super simple to set up and I am very happy with this product. My dad has one and he really likes it as well.

I purchased the Voice Alert System three months along with three extra sensors.....it took me about 1/2 hour to install entire system and it works just great. I recently purchased another for my unattached garage. All sensors are outside but under overhang and they work just great. I have had severl false alarms...neighbors Great Dane. This is a very good product.

Works great. The wife loves knowing when there is someone in the North driveway, the South driveway or around the storage shed.

Easy to setup and use! You'll want at least one more sensor to monitor other areas (the system expands to include 6). The range is excellent, and the sensors can be installed on multiple floors or even outdoors (under an eave or overhang). Place them high and out of reach.. Battery life is good when put in battery saving mode. Cons: the low battery alarm feature doesn't always work, so you should test the sensors often to be sure you're still protected. No battery backup feature on the base unit for power failure or tampering.

These Voice Alert Sensors are simply amazing and work excellent. I order this unit with an extra receiver because we have a blind door off our driveway and was always being surprised by visitors and deliverymen who don't ring the door bell. The second receiver is mounted on the back porch to alert us when deer are the feeding station 200' away. My wife love to get up at 3: am to watch them feed but it drives me crazy to hear it at that hour.

Buyer beware - I ordered an additional sensor and followed the instructions to the letter but it does not work.
