I'm a big cross stitch fan but rather picky about the books I buy. I purchased this book after seeing a few of the designs in Cross Stitcher magazine, and I am glad I did! This book is fantastic! There are many designers' Art Nouveau styles provided in beautiful large projects - Mucha, Mackintosh, Crane, Tiffany - and an unexpected surprise, a cross-stitch version of Klimt's 'The Kiss.' Any one of these projects is worth the cost of the book on its own, but not only are there a number of beautiful large designs, each designer is given a section for smaller pieces and decorations as well, inviting the reader to use them in whatever way they wish.

So beautiful. I can't wait to start stitching these designs!

If you are tired of the same old cross stitch books and patterns: THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU! The graphs are easy to read and the pictures are absolutely beautiful! The completed items would fit in with any type of decor - even contemporary... WOW! I personally recommend this book to everyone who loves cross stitching! I am happy that I purchased this book and plan to stitch many of it's beautiful designs.

If people are looking for a different type of cross stitch book, i believe this book would satisfy their need. Barbara Hammet's book, Cross Stitch Art Nouveau, is a unique book having cross stitch designs by different artists such as Gustav Klimt, Alphomse Mucha and Louis Comfort Tiffany. There are ten chapters in this book and each chapter focuses on ten different artists in that era. My favorite design here is Gustav Klimt "The Kiss". I feel happy buying this book since the book offers designs that are not the usual. The level of difficulty of the designs varies. Some designs are simple, others are more difficult. I do hope others will enjoy this book as I do. Happy Stitching!

This book was so nice I had to buy a second. The second one was for my sister. I'm going to stitch all the patterns. They're projects I would give to both sexes.

I initially bought this book as the Art Deco period is fabulous, and when I saw the designs, I was captured. I'm presently undertaking one of the charts, using linen for the first time, and I can't wait to finish it, so I may try others. Well worth owing.

I really loved this book; the patterns are easy to follow and fun to do. Great response time, and was a good bargain for the number of patterns and ideas it gives.

Truely beautiful patterns from the Art Nouveau period. I love the illustratios and organization of this book. Choosing to highlight different artists is a great idea! Thank you Amazon for offering this collection of exquisite cross stitch patterns.

Everything about this book is lovely! The patterns are so beautifully executed and detailed. I am so pleased with the designs in this book, I can see many applications for the patterns presented. I will use for embroidery and a few for knitting as well. The layout of the book is very well done, it is set up by artist and each design is presented in color. Just looking through this book is a pleasure. I highly recommend.
