4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price
At first glance a bit dissapointing. Seemed at first like a "grown up" version of that cheap pistol crossbow you see available about everywhere. I kept saying to myself "What do you want for a hundred bucks?" But once assembled I found it to be remarkably accurate, and easier to cock than expected.
Very impressed with the red dot scope. Not having much "scope"...

1.0 out of 5 stars Very slow
Bought this crossbow for my son to hunt deer with, but it is far too slow to be anything more than a toy. I've shot real 180 lb cross bows and this doesn't even come close. At 10 yards, I only get about 4" penetration in a block layered target. It's so weak that at 20 yards the bolt drops 8" before hitting the target. The red dot sight is a plastic piece of junk also...

Arrows are cheap alluminum type with terrible fletching that falls off after a few shots. Nocks and inserts are not even glued in.

Very impressed with the red dot scope. Not having much "scope" experience, I was expecting a laser pointer type, but this is different technology that looks like a laser through the lense while putting out no actual beam. And has a 10 point brightness control.
Not sure if its as fast as it claims, but I would'nt want to be on the recieving end of this thing.
Incredibly fast delivery! I ordered it over the weekend and recieved it the following Tuesday!
In all...
I see this crossbow as a perfect way to find out if crossbows are your "Thing".
It's got me thinkin' crossbows likely "Are" my "Thing".
The first day of fun alone with this crossbow is well worth the purchase price.
Really fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars A solid, folding crossbow..., July 2, 2010
This review is from: 180 Lbs Crossbow + 4x20 Scope + Arrows Cross Bow (Misc.)
This is a basic and powerful crossbow. The construction is solid and uncomplicated. The arrows fire true as long as they're not crap arrows (check for straightness). I bought an extra string that comes with caps and I keep the string attached waxed. It was easy to put on by myself, but I'm a tenacious sort. 2 people is ideal. There's no conceivable way the bows will break, considering their size (separated as opposed to one straight through) and the material (solid, but flexible). WARNING: mine had a hair trigger. I remedied that by disassembling the body (easy), popped the trigger up and wrapped a piece of silk string around and in between the end of the flattened part of the divot and the trigger piece, in the direction counter of the motion of the direction of the pulling of the trigger, that it wouldn't unwind every time you used it. There was too much space there, which made the trigger loose. However, this is a powerful weapon, won't cost an arm and a leg to maintain, and highly customizable if you're the Macguiver type like me...

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT FOR SMALL GAME HUNTING,EVEN BIRDS!!!!, March 19, 2011
This review is from: 180 Lbs Crossbow + 4x20 Scope + Arrows Cross Bow (Misc.)
its awesome!I also got the red dot sight, and i sighted it in...but sometimes you can forget to turn it off and it runs out of batteries...the iron sight is alot better. After you sight that in, its fun to shoot. I shot tons of birds with it. And just yeasterday i shot two prairie dogs, and killed them. But the bolts are the bigest problem. They can bend and the inside comes out if you pull on it, example, if you shoot a tree and it gets stuck, chances are that if you pull it out your going to pull the inside out..but it can be repaired with super glue, in matter fact you should buy some, once you get this. You should also buy a pack of bolts and a bolt hipp quiver. You can also get a rope and tie it to your crossbow and put it on your back.I really recomend this if you want to go do some small game hunting.

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome bow for the price, August 2, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 180 Lbs Crossbow + 4x20 Scope + Arrows Cross Bow (Misc.)
I recieved my crossbow today.Took it out of the box, put it together, which was very easy and took it outside. Took about 10 minutes to site it in at 25yds. I moved the sites obsite the way the arrow was hitting the target and wham right on the mark. Everything on the bow worked fine. Once I got it sited in, I tightened a screw under the rear site that was a little loose and now its perfect. If your looking for a crossbow that doesn't cost much and will serve that purpose, This is it!!!

Got it for him for his first cross bow hunt.Shot good first shot.Second shot the bow string busted on the end.I'm not very happy about this because it says the string is not covered .Which is BS in my book .They should send me another bow string if you ask me.

This crossbow looked like a good deal for the price, but you get what you pay for. The bolts do not fly true.
The red dot scope broke after one use so that I could not center the red dot anymore using the adjustment screws. Two days after that one of the plastic tips on the end of the bow shattered. Now this crossbow is completely useless...in fact it's dangerous to use now at all. Nobody has spare tips for this crossbow. I called the company Master Cutlery who sells them to Amazon. They told me that the crossbows are made in China so they don't have access to spare tips either.
