my father introduced me to this album via "match box blues". he wanted me to pay attention to the story song this tells. the rest is elementary..... i was stunned period!!!! this a great album from beginning to end. albert king is absolutely amazing... to be such a big maaan with a velvetty-smooth voice. being a lefty, one can easily understand why he's one of jimi hendrixs' major infuences. so pour a glass of you're favorite spirit, sit back and enjoy this heavy blues/gut-bucked classic!!!!!!!!

All I can say if you're an Albert fan you will want this, it was a good time for Albert great sound quality also. This is great he was still in his prime, excellent rocking blues classic Albert.

I'm pretty sure this is a 100% studio album - and not 'live' as described. - Unless that is there's been some pretty sophisticated remastering, sound balancing and editing!

Either way it's one of the best examples out there of Albert's music. 'Warmly ironic' vocals and lyrics interspersed with Albert's chrystal clear guitar work and well-constructed solos, full of dramatically built-up tension and ultimate release.

The message is: buy it if you haven't already.
