Monitor the accuracy of a local television weather forecaster or strategically determine the optimum spot for a garden with the help of La Crosse’s home weather station. Using a wireless 433MHz frequency signal, this system is designed to track and display data gathered from four remotely located solar-powered sensors. The four included sensors track wind speed with direction and variation, amount of rainfall, temperature and humidity levels, air pressure, hours of sunshine, and brightness levels. A touch-sensitive liquid crystal screen--measuring 10.0 by 1.37 by 8.26 inches--serves as the hub for the system. The screen offers clear digital number display along with a symbolic weather forecast indicator and optional graphical history display. Regular highs and lows with corresponding time and date can be tracked and stored with up-to-the-minute accuracy.
The comprehensive operating manual clearly outlines set-up instructions and ways to best leverage the system. For continuous display, use of the included 120 volt AC adaptor is recommended; less frequent readings can be supported with four C batteries. 1) If the last reviewer had managed to look up the specs, he/she would read that the temp accuracy is +/-2 degrees f or +/-1 degree c. Resolution is NOT accuracy; it is only the capablilty of the unit to display the temp in .2 degree intervals w/ the stated accuracy. Oh brother!!!
2) Of course, the the higher (reasonably speaking) you place the anemometer, the better the reading will be, geesh! This is true for ANY weather station. Also, the readings are not real time, since this is a WIRELESS station. I believe data is updated every 30s for the anemometer. Therefore, the 30mph wind gust you see on the console is from 30 seconds ago. This is actually a very good weather station, and pretty accurate as well. It is easy to set up, as it is completely wireless, and solar powered w/ battery backup. Happy forcasting!

this weather station is fine, and it is very sophisticated, but what about its usefulness?: the sensors ranges are very very short, and not what we can wait from a "pro" weather station. I live in a country land without any interference but the simple stones of my house's walls are sufficient to stop the signal. Very deceiptive item.

Come on people, cut me a break. The anometer is supposed to be way up high not down low.
