5.0 out of 5 stars Great digital wall clock
This is a great wall clock with a modern design. The digital read-out is large enough to see across a room. For a digital display, it does have a pretty good reading angle. (It doesn't have backlight so you can't see it in the dark.) It is very easy to setup. It will setup the clock automatically based on the atomic clock through the radio receiver if you want to...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good For 12-hour Mode.........Not Good For 24-hour Mode
This clock has extra large numbers which can easily be seen from across a room.

I purchased the clock with the intention of using its 24-hour mode. Once it reaches 20:00, however, it cannot display the "2".....Instead, it shows a vertical bar that is about 1-inch tall, which is disappointing. According to the instruction manual: 'Note: The "24 hour time"...

This is a great wall clock with a modern design. The digital read-out is large enough to see across a room. For a digital display, it does have a pretty good reading angle. (It doesn't have backlight so you can't see it in the dark.) It is very easy to setup. It will setup the clock automatically based on the atomic clock through the radio receiver if you want to wait (the signal is strongest at night), but you may also want to setup the timezone, automatic daylight savings and perhaps customize the read-outs. It takes just a few minutes to get it going. At around $20, this is a great wall clock.

5.0 out of 5 stars All Cocks Sychronized, September 30, 2005

I have just opened a doctor's office with four exam rooms. I want to have a clock in each exam room. I am very sensitive to noises and can't stand some cheap clocks that go tic-tic-tic! The main reason I bought these digital clocks was because of their large numbers. Once I put them up, I realized an unexpected benefit - all these clocks are synchronized! I no longer have to wonder which clock is telling the real time...

Other benefits: They show the temperatures in each room. They show the date & day of the week. The clocks adjust themselves for day light saving time. Maintainance should be a breeze - just change the batteries once a year and they should take care of themselves!

I purchased the clock with the intention of using its 24-hour mode. Once it reaches 20:00, however, it cannot display the "2".....Instead, it shows a vertical bar that is about 1-inch tall, which is disappointing. According to the instruction manual: 'Note: The "24 hour time" option is not recommended. The LCD display will not show the first digit "2".'

Nowhere in the Product Description or the Amazon.com Review is this shortcoming mentioned.

Bottom line: If you plan to use the 12-hour mode, this clock is an excellent choice. But if you plan to use its 24-hour mode, my advice is to look elsewhere.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Clock, August 23, 2006

This clock met my expectations of having a clock that doesn't need to be set manually and provides all the information I need to know. Some of the positives include a huge display, sets itself when it can get a wireless connection, and shows the date and temperature. Some of the negatives are the army time display and finding a connection. When set to show army time it will only show 3 digits (eg.: 14:30 would be shown as 4:30). I haven't had any problems getting a connection for the clock to set itself but the reviewer before me did which makes it a possibility it won't find a connection. Overall, I am glad I got this clock and would recommend it.

Very clear easy-to-read data. I can read it from across the room. I bought it for day and date, which show clearly. No trouble, except quite a bit of set-up of starting data, which I had to go round a couple of times.

5.0 out of 5 stars very sharp, October 25, 2005
This review is from: La Crosse Technology WS-6002U-A Atomic Digital Wall Clock (Kitchen)
I like the looks of it. I had trouble when I first set it up because I had the daylight savings time off and every morning the time would change. Once I programmed in that part, it works fine, and is a great addition to our room.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Wall Digital Clock, August 28, 2006

I needed this! I was irritated with my other clock ticking as I graded papers. This clock is perfect. It provides the time using large numbers and it also shows the month/date/day and temperature in the room. Great price!

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the money, May 30, 2006

When I read in a review that you could read this clock from a distance, I decided to give it a try. I have 3 small atomic clocks to sit on a counter or desk, but not a large one. This one is terrific and I wish I would have ordered a couple more as gifts. The size of the numbers is extremely handy and the information it furnishes, in general, is quite helpful on a day-to-day basis. I always want to know the time, date and temperature. This clock tells me all of that with a quick glance. I have it hanging on a wall so I can read it from anywhere in the living room.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Superb Atomic Wall Clock, April 2, 2006

This review is from: La Crosse Technology WS-6002U-A Atomic Digital Wall Clock (Kitchen)
The LaCrosse WS-6002U is a superb atomic wall clock. All you have to do is put two AA batteries in this clock, and it automatically sets itself. It takes 15 to 30 minutes for this clock to set itself because it has to synchronize itself with the master clock in Colorado. The master clock is maintained by the federal government, and it always has the correct time. This clock has an internal antenna that receives the master clock's signal. The signal can be received anywhere in the United States of America, except for Alaska and Hawaii. This clock will display random numbers while it synchronizes itself, but it will eventually give you the correct time, date, day of the week, and temperature. The large LCD display is easy to read, and the fact that you never have to adjust this clock makes it priceless. Don't worry about having to change the batteries in this clock. I have had mine for almost a year and a half, and I have not had to replace the batteries yet.
