I chose this device because all I really wanted was indoor and outdoor temperature in a small, non-obtrusive design. This is the only weather station that fit my bill. For $30, you get the indoor unit, which is very thin and has a big, easy to read display with indoor and outdoor temperature along with the high and low for the day. It can sit on a table or hang on the wall. The outdoor unit has a multi-position bracket, and easily mounts using two screws in a weather-protected place (like under an eave). I enjoy getting up and seeing what the temperature is so I don't have to go "feel" what it's like.

March 29, 2010 - One year later, this unit is still doing just fine. I am thrilled the batteries have lasted over a year in the outdoor unit.

May 8, 2011 - Still doing what it is supposed to! Replaced the batteries a couple months ago in both units (They were still on the originals).

Nice looking, reasonably price, and not too difficult to set up, but the remote gave up the ghost after only five days following a storm. The "weather resistant" case for the remote basically isn't - although unit was mounted in a relatively sheltered area, there was a fair amount of water inside when I checked it. Dried it out as best as I could, changed batteries, but no luck - dead as a doornail. Am now waiting for LaCrosse Tech support - left 2 messages with no response, and am not too optimistic about receiving a call-back. Will probably wind up returning to Amazon eventually - too bad!

I bought this for my Mom for Christmas. We have a similar one that we bought 4 or 5 years ago. I wish they would have made this one when we got ours because I love the feature of the atomic clock. It was very easy to setup and the clock set itself within minutes. Out of all the temperature stations I would recommend buying this one! Just remember to put the batteries in the sensor and then in the station and do it within a few minutes.

All transmitters are working fine after two weeks of heavy rain. I wrapped the transmitters in some grocery bags.
Range is outstanding. Transmitters are scattered to far corners of the property, still I can take the base unit into any room in the house and receive all three signals.
RF atomic clock is working.
Unit looks nice, was inexpensive.

If you want multiple trasmitters working you have to be very careful about the setup. The batteries have to be installed in each transmitter at exactly the right time. It took four attempts before I got it working right. This could be made a lot easier. I can see how other poeple might have had trouble. Still, all the plusses outweigh this one ding.

This is a pretty basic unit. It works as advertised and is a good value. I like the way it keeps track of the daily min/max temps - each day they are automatically reset. This means you can glance at it in the morning to see how cold it was the night before, or in the evening to find out how hot it got during the day. You don't have to remember to push any buttons to reset the min/max.

Have had it about 1 month. Works well. Accuracy about +/- 0.5 degree F. I like the min and max temperature display that resets itself daily.

You know, this was a great little unit and did the job... But wasn't thrilled when the wireless transmitting unit died after 6 months. What's up with that? I've owned a LaCrosse before this and will purchase another LaCrosse. But this is it after this.

This La Crosse digital weather station was recommended by a friend saying it was more accurate than one he had purchased for over $200. The price was discounted from it's original $34.99. The delivery was prompt and my husband was delighted with his new toy. It works great.

I've had this unit for several weeks now and it's functioning fine. The accuracy appears good as compared to other thermometers I checked it with. I have just one remote which was easy to set up and install which I did under a patio cover to protect it and also keep direct sun off of it. The one confusing part of setting up the main unit was figuring out the time zone. The directions do not specify which time zone is -5 or +2 etc and I used trial and error to figure out the right setting.
