These units (2)operate very satisfactorily, but when compared with others, of the same or other brands, yield significantly different readings (as much as 15%) at lower humidity ranges. For household use, this is not a major problem, but could be a definite problem if accuracy is required.

If you're looking for an accurate hygrometer, this isn't it! it was 15 points off when I tested it for accuracy!

Amazon is taking back as defective so, i'm glad I bought it at Amazon.

Digital Thermometers are only as good as their accuracy and this LaCrosse Technology is accurate and a great buy.

I have two other thermometers which have humidity gauges. Thus, I ran a basic comparison test. I put the LaCrosse next to both my Springfield Precisetemp Digital and my aging, but accurate, Springfield Weather Station. I found the LaCrosse to be with in one degree of the other's temp. readings. It was right on the numbers with its humidity reading! The large digital display is readable across the room. Kudos. This is a good buy. Highly Recommended.

I bought this item to keep track of the humidity in my apartment because I have a number of wooden musical instruments. I has allowed me to keep pace with the humidity and know that I need to put moisture in the air to protect my instruments. Any one who has things sensetive to humidity would do well to purchase one of these.

I keep an indoor garden and I need accurate readings. It is of poor quality and unreliable. Don't buy this.

I wanted to check the relative humidity at varios places in the house. This works great and greatly simplifies the chore as compared to only a few years ago.

Humidity measurements are incorrect. It shows as much as 15% over my other Oregon Scientific weather station.

This is a fine product. It looks great, and have had no promblems of any kind. I bought it with a few other humidity and temperature measuring devices (just to compare/average them against each other, and make sure I wasn't getting taken advantage of) and this one was the best by far. I would have no problem telling anyone to buy this. I plan on buying another one for another corner of the house. Great job guys!!!

This item is just what I needed for the summertime. I come home from work to my room and it shows 83 degress. Just turn the air conditioner on untils it reads 75 degrees. Nice digit size and can be seen from a distance. 5 stars!

The values are accurate and same with my other thermometers but it can only measure F.
