Keep track of time with the utmost precision while working in the garden, splashing in the pool, or barbecuing on the patio with this 18-inch outdoor atomic wall clock from La Crosse Technology. Radio-controlled by the national atomic clock in Colorado, the clock resets daily to the hour, minute, and second for continued accuracy. Additionally, the clock adjusts automatically for daylight savings time. Equipped with a thermometer and a hygrometer, the clock also assesses and relates temperature and humidity levels to help users protect seedlings from frost, avoid over-watering finicky plants, and take precautions against an icy walkway.
Surrounded by a sleek silver-painted plastic frame, the clock face features black 1-1/6-inch-high numbers for easy visibility. Elegant, black metal hands tick off the hours and minutes. For temperature and humidity readings, the clock face displays two small analog gauges. The hygrometer gauge measures from 0 to 100 percent relative humidity, while the temperature gauge gives readings for temperatures from -10 to +130 degrees Fahrenheit, or -30 to +60 degrees Celsius. On the backside of the clock, the user selects the appropriate US time zone; the clock accommodates Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific times. A manual reset button is provided. To ensure accurate readings, hang the clock in a dry area out of direct sunlight. This clock requires the separate purchase of one AA battery for operation. A one-year limited warranty covers this item. The clock measures 18 inches wide by 2-1/5 inches deep by 18 inches high and weighs 6 pounds upon shipping.

I know the owners manual and website say this item is only good for outdoors if left dry and above 41 degrees, however I can honestly dispute that.
I have had 2 of these clocks outside in my backyard since December 2005 (over 4+ years).. no issues at all. The 2 clocks outside are on a fence where it gets beat up by all the storms and hot sun... as well as this past winter, we got down to 8 degrees (yes, 8 degrees in Dallas).... the clocks are both still running great! absolutely no impact by the storms or deep cold. The other is mounted on the house where it gets beat up by the cold, sun and heavy steam from the Hot Tub... also no issues. So regardless of what the website or owners manaual says, I can vouch that these clocks work great over many years in deep cold, strong winds, heavy storms (and yes, getting totally soaked) and direct Texas Sun. I HIGHLY recommend these for all

This model is appanently the same as the cheaper WT-3181P. The instructions say it can only be used outdoors if protected from rain and above 41 degrees. Its 27 outside right now. I guess it might be O.K. in southern Arizona. Amazon needs to add this important note to its product description.

I've had this clock for about a year. It worked fine throughout the winter even in -10F temperatures. In the summer, it catches some late afternoon sun, but this doesn't seem to have harmed it. The original alkaline batteries are still working.
