Nice clock, but not worth $50, February 9, 2008
This review is from: La Crosse Technology Weather Channel WT-5432TWC Projection Alarm Clock with Forecast (Kitchen)
I bought this clock shortly after being disappointed with the Homedics SS-5000 Sound Spa Projection Clock Radio with Atomic Clock and Indoor/Outdoor Temp- On Sale!. This is a much better clock than that one, but still has a few flaws. I bought the weather channel version of this clock thinking it was different than the
La Crosse Technology WT-5432 Projection Alarm Clock with Forecast, but it turned out it was exactly the same only $20 more for the weather channel logo (don't be fooled).
Pros
-Great projection display at night (not too bright)
-Weather forecast is accurate
-The temperature is accurate and registers correctly
- There is a button on the clock to change the position and brightness of the projected time so you can project it anywhere
Cons
-The backlight on the clock only stays on for 3 seconds by pressing the snooze button, but this is a good thing because it would be too bright to sleep with at night if it was always on.
-The alarm isn't loud enough if you are a heavy sleeper and will shut off automatically after 90 seconds
- The clock was much smaller than I expected
- The buttons are hard to press
Although the clock has its flaws, it does everything it claims to do. I like mine. If I were to buy it again I would by the same one without the weather channel logo for $20 less.

do not buy, January 4, 2007
This unit responds very slowly to changes in temperature.
I tested my unit and if The temperature changes 10 degrees (for example if the sun comes up), it takes over 1 hour for the unit output to change and show the 10 degree change.
Imagine needing to leave a thermometer in your kids mouth for 1 hour to measure his temperature!!!
Very slow response = useless for measuring temperatures which change

Dependable Accuracy!, May 1, 2010
This review is from: La Crosse Technology Weather Channel WT-5432TWC Projection Alarm Clock with Forecast (Kitchen)
This is my second purchase of this clock. After several years of service the outside monitor stopped working. I use it to monitor my greenhouse temperature in the winter season. I truly love this alarm clock. It is very accurate and very dependable. The only downfall are the instructions for set up. It's a little confusing.
