Nice clock, but not worth $50,
This review is from: La Crosse Technology Weather Channel WT-5432TWC Projection Alarm Clock with Forecast (Kitchen)
I bought this clock shortly after being disappointed with the Homedics SS-5000 Sound Spa Projection Clock Radio with Atomic Clock and Indoor/Outdoor Temp- On Sale!. This is a much better clock than that one, but still has a few flaws. I bought the weather channel version of this clock thinking it was different than the La Crosse Technology WT-5432 Projection Alarm Clock with Forecast, but it turned out it was exactly the same only $20 more for the weather channel logo (don't be fooled).
Pros -Great projection display at night (not too bright) -Weather forecast is accurate -The temperature is accurate and registers correctly - There is a button on the clock to change the position and brightness of the projected time so you can project it anywhere Cons -The backlight on the clock only stays on for 3 seconds by pressing the snooze button, but this is a good thing because it would be too bright to sleep with at night if it was always on. -The alarm isn't loud enough if you are a heavy sleeper and will shut off automatically after 90 seconds - The clock was much smaller than I expected - The buttons are hard to press Although the clock has its flaws, it does everything it claims to do. I like mine. If I were to buy it again I would by the same one without the weather channel logo for $20 less.

do not buy,
By I tested my unit and if The temperature changes 10 degrees (for example if the sun comes up), it takes over 1 hour for the unit output to change and show the 10 degree change. Imagine needing to leave a thermometer in your kids mouth for 1 hour to measure his temperature!!! Very slow response = useless for measuring temperatures which change

This is my second purchase of this clock. After several years of service the outside monitor stopped working. I use it to monitor my greenhouse temperature in the winter season. I truly love this alarm clock. It is very accurate and very dependable. The only downfall are the instructions for set up. It's a little confusing.

Not impressed as it was advertised. The projection mechanism will only be visible at night when it's dark. In addition, the orientation of the projection system is limited. There are other products similar to this product's features that are far less expensive than this one.

First one was in a cardboard box. That one was broken and the projector would not work. The replacement was in a form fitting plastic cover. It was obvious the first one sent was a refurb which I did not buy. Just make sure the first one is not a used one. Display works great at night. I am happy with it and would recommend it.
