Stay abreast of current weather conditions with this sleek and straightforward wireless weather station. From La Crosse Technology, the weather station allows users to check outdoor temperatures and humidity levels to plan appropriately for outside activities while also tracking indoor temperatures for maximum comfort.
Equipped for wall hanging or stand alone display, the weather station’s 1.5-volt receiver features a square silver frame around its easy-to-read LCD screen. The receiver registers indoor temperatures from 14.1 to 139.8 degrees F. By pushing the min/max button on the receiver’s backside, users can observe the weather station’s recorded minimum and maximum temperatures and humidity levels on the LCD. The manually-set clock displays the time in either a 12-hour or 24-hour format. Likewise, temperatures are expressed in either Fahrenheit or Celsius degrees. To monitor outdoor conditions, a provided TX21U-IT thermo-hygro sensor measures temperatures from -39.8 to +139 degrees F, and humidity levels from 1 to 99 percent. The sensor communicates this information to the receiver at a 915 MHz frequency from a maximum distance of 330 feet. Transmission through walls reduces this range. For the best results, install the sensor in a dry, shaded area. The weather station accommodates up to three remote sensors total. On the back of the receiver, a designated button enables users to select the desired channel for receiver-sensor transmissions. The separate purchase of four AA alkaline batteries is required for the receiver and sensor; both take two batteries for operation. A limited one-year warranty covers this product. The weather station receiver measures 5-3/4 inches wide by 1 inch deep by 5-1/2 inches high while the sensor spans 2-1/4 inches wide by 2-2/5 inches deep by 5-1/3 inches high.

Just received and really enjoy the larger display.
Nice to see at a glance what it says. Easy to set up and started working right away. Only drawback is the Min/Max function button is on the back of the unit. That is okay if you set it on a table or desk, but I have mine hanging on the wall, so that makes it not so handy. I would still recommend it!

This will be a really short review as the unit stopped working only after 2 days. I liked it for that little while but wish it would last a bit more. It does have a nice uncluttered screen and a modern stainless steel look.

I bought this thermometer because it had a large display and modern styling. Both of these are what I got. My complaint is that the accuracy of this thermometer around freezing is not very good. My kids have a couple weather stations I got them for last christmas and when they say 32 it is freezing out. Mine will say almost 35 even though it has clearly dipped below freezing. So if you just want a general idea of temperature with a nice large display, this is the one for you. Otherwise I would seek something more accurate.
