4.0 out of 5 stars A bit predictable, but engaging March 3, 2012

"Classic Romantic Comedy" might be read "pretty predictable romantic comedy," but it was written in a spirited, engaging manner so I really did end up enjoying this short story.

You might also want to be aware that the emphasis really is on "short," however. About 40% of this e-book is previews, ads, excerpts, etc., of the author's other works. I have no problem with ads for related works in books, and have often found them useful, but 40% of the total content does seem to be a bit much.

All in all, as I said, I did like the story, but I think it would be best for others to go into the work with realistic expectations.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute little short story March 29, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I didn't page past the end of the story, so I don't know how much of the "book" is previews, reviews, etc. Having said that, this is a really cute little short story about what can happen when "wrong address" mixes it up with "serious attraction at first sight." It's predictable, but super enjoyable.

4 1/2 stars from me. It's not explicit at all, and is really rather tame in the suggestiveness category. Good job, Fran Schaff! :-D

3.0 out of 5 stars Crossed Wires December 7, 2012

Teh book was an predictable, right to the end, and yes I read it all the way throuh, it was written well enough to keep me reading, my downfall when reading is the ability to predict the story, it is rare for me not too, so do not be disappointed by my saying it is predictable, as all good romance novels, it is not the predicitablity in the story but how the story is told, this book is worth a read

1.0 out of 5 stars didn't finish it.....too unrealistic April 17, 2012

a less than bright electrician with an even more ditzy secretary makes a mistake on an address for a job and he ends up at a house where a lady is waiting for a hot blind date......so he takes her out instead....she knows he isn't the real dude but lets him pull this stunt anyway. NO WAY......could not buy into this....quit reading shortly into the story.

More About the Author

Just about all of us want to get away from the demands of everyday life from time to time. Unfortunately, most of us don't have the luxury of being able to take off to some new, exciting place whenever we feel the urge--unless we like to read.

A book can take us anywhere we'd like to go. For readers who enjoy living vicariously in pastimes or in modern times Fran Shaff provides a great escape in the more than twenty novels she's published over the years. Fran's fictional books have won awards from readers, reviewers and fellow authors, and her non-fiction has been acknowledged in this way too.

Love is the main focus of all of Fran's books, whether they're contemporary or historical, serious or humorous, written for adults or teens. Love between men and women and among friends and families is featured in her books because there is nothing most of us want more than to love and be loved. Happy endings abound, but the journey to reaching that joyful final moment is always a rocky struggle, just the way we want our fiction (even though we could do without the drama in our real lives).

Look for new, full-length historical romance novels from Fran Shaff in the ten-book "Tender Mysteries Series," available now and debuting throughout 2013 and 2014. The first novel in the series "Resurrected" is available as a free download. The series is available in single e-book and two-pack paperback formats.
