If you enjoy a sophisticated plot with complex characters, this is the summertime read for you. Crosswinds at Campo Carcasso is a journey through history set in the romantic and beautiful backdrop of Italy. I was transfixed on the plot learning of historical artifacts and the twists and turns along the way. Crosswinds At Campo Carcasso

A tantalizing tangle of human emotions are at play in this book. The characters are believable and the storyline is intriguing. Murder, revenge, lust, desire, greed...there's something for everybody. A mysterious and tauntingly good read!

This book was given to me as a gift, and I was intrigued by the synopsis on the back cover. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed and stopped reading after 30 pages. It seemed as if the author wrote the first paragraphs of Chapter 1 with a thesaurus in hand; the descriptions were excessive. I tried to keep an open mind as I continued reading, but I was distracted by the terrible grammar. Incomplete and/or run-on sentences as well as subjects with mismatched verb tenses were only some of the problems. While I can appreciate some "creative writing" in fictional works, the author's continuous disregard for the written English language was displeasing.
