A little bit of jazz, a little bit of pop...nice voice.,

This review is from: Crossword (Audio CD)
I happened to meet Helen Slater at a recent comic book convention. She was handing out autographs to her many fans. A very sweet lady. I knew she was a fine actress, but I wasn't aware she recorded or wrote songs. I purchased 'Crossword' from her and played it on my way home. To go along with her pretty soprano are 12 songs, all written by her, that are a little bit jazz, a little bit pop. Catchy tunes that will have you learning the words and humming the tunes. Helen has all the looks that might remind you of Olivia Newton-John, and the voice that is very pleasant to the ear. A very talented lady.

Helen is a Paragon!,
This review is from: Crossword (Audio CD)
Helen Slater is a natural paragon, a real master at anything she does. She can easily act a thousand roles in one instant, or take herself beyond to the musical world of artistic expression, which is what she has done! Her second installment, "Crossword" is so much fun to listen to, as you hear Helen having to much fun being swingy and popping those jazz tunes like a singer in the days of the "Tin Pan Alley". She wrote all these songs by herself, and she is so loose and free, giving us a great time to indulge in her ever long abilities as a musician. She will certainly go far now. Movies and Music? Helen must be something beyond Super at this point, she is a Paragon, wait! I said that didn't I? Well, it's because it's true!
