5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and Challenging
I really like this book. Large print, excellent puzzles, not too hard, not too easy, all have themes. Nice paper for erasures, lots of clever clues. I do recommend this volume and hopefully, there will be a second book. There are not many good crossword books for seniors, but this is definitely one of them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too easy
Crosswords are fun, but way too easy. A little disappointed. Good book for beginners. Lots of hints and tricks of how to tackle crosswords. Finished it in one long weekend...should have gone for the New York Times....now those are truly a challenge!

This book was intended for my 91 year old mother who is a word search fanatic. I only wanted to glance at it, but ended up reading it and working the puzzles. I'm afraid this book may be a bit much for Mom, who has never done crosswords, but it's just right for me! I have to admit that the chapter which included crosswords as a means to sharpen the mind is what got me going. Refreshing my basic skills in the beginning of the book was quick; the clues are fun and interesting, the skill level progressive. Like many my age, I don't think of myself as a "senior", but the fact is, I remember ERMA Bombeck, "My Friend FLICKA", and that the Star Ship Enterprise travels at WARP speed. The New York Times puzzles are out of my league, but by the time I finish this book, I may just try again.

This was a let down. All the puzzles were difficult. A waste of time and money.
