I searched and couldn't find a wind up teddy bear for my new granddaughter. I came across this bear and purchased it. It works well, the songs already programmed are great, and she really seems comforted by the soft music. I would buy it again in a heart beat. Loading music is as easy as any other mp3 player. There is ONLY one drawback. We are having a hard time finding rechargeable batteries that fit. The rechargeables are slightly larger and won't fit. It uses standard batteries too quickly. Once we find a brand of rechargeables that fit, I will update this review. Buy it though, it is the best!

I purchased this bear and had problems with it from the beginning. It had trouble turning on. This continued for a couple of weeks, and then it would never turn on again no matter what I did. I now have to find my receipt and contact Amazon to see about a refund. It is a shame because it is a great concept.

We went ahead and ordered a second bear and it was exactly the opposite. It worked very good from the beginning and is now on its fourth week and doing fine. I guess we just got a lemon the first time.

Ordered this bear for my little one who is a special needs child..she is 4 and loves music..she has down syndrome and other problems and this soothes her so much at night time...the bear is very soft and well made..follow simple instructions to down load to the mp3 player...i just find it's not very durable..1st one stopped working about 3 months after we got it..keep in mind it sits in her bed until she wakes up at night and i put it on for her, she cuddles with it and it usually plays for about an hour or so, depending on how much music you have on that particular song bank...she doesn't throw it around or drop it. Called amazon about my problem and they pretty much said oh well, your 30 days are up, so sorry, you stuck with your broken bear...Called Crowley Jones who is the manfacutuer of this product and can't say enough about their staff...in about 3 day i had a new bear at my house and was told to throw away the old one or do whatever i wanted with it...well just so happened that 2nd bear didn't work to well...so they sent me out another new one...so they are willing to work with you if you have a problem...i think it needs a little improvement on the switches, you really have to squeeze the power button several times and in the exact right spot for it to come on, sometimes this can be a problem when you have a child crying and reaching for her bear....anyway, if ours breaks again, i will order a new one because it is comforting to my little one and she won't go back to sleep without it....so it's worth it to me...

So far, everything is pretty good with the Bear. It's easy to load new songs, and edit the playlists. My 18 month old likes it, which is key. The battery life is pretty decent. My only gripe is that the volume jumps from really soft to really loud in just one setting. Otherwise, all is good.

I ordered this bear for my great granddaughter and we were so excited when we got it. What a wonderful idea, a bear you can load with your own music. We have such great plans. But the bear would not turn on at all so we thought, maybe the batteries are old. We changed the batteries and it did turn on but one hour later, was dead again and would not turn on. Changed the batteries again and it would not turn on at all. Also, when plugging in the USB to download music (when it was working), none of my computers recognized it. What a disappointment! Just not durable or reliable at all. It is going back.

My in-laws purchased this bear for our daughter when she was first born. At first I wasn't sure about it, but it is a must-have staple in our house now! We didn't care for the songs it came with so my husband loaded different songs for me and it was easy. We don't get a HUGE amount of use out of it, but it is part of our bed-time ritual. I use one playlist for her massage and it works great because I can make sure I'm keeping on schedule with the songs (when it gets to the 4th song it is time to get her dressed).

The only problems I've experienced is that I've had to "learn" how to operate it. For our bear, the power button must be held for several seconds for it to turn on, but just a quick tap for the playlist to start the music. It was VERY frustrating at first, but now we're fine.

This bear comes with us whenever we travel to maintain consistent bedtime. I read a review that talks about batteries. We typically only use this at night, but my daughter is almost 8 months old now and we've only had to replace the batteries once....as she gets older and we allow her to sleep with the bear & play with it we'll see if it changes (and I'll update this review if it does).

We had so many problems with this toy,i have a special need kid and he was so disappointed when it stopped working, also i could not download any music, they should not sell this one.

We used this musical bear to help our 2 year old transfer from crib to big boy bed in new room when new baby was on the way. It was great for him to hear his soothing music in his new room. Our hope was he could turn it on himself in the middle of the night when he woke up however when he tried to turn it on himself it was a bit complicated and fustrating. The bear did break and will no longer turn on after less than a year. It helped us make the transition but our son misses "lullaby bear."

My son used to have music in his room on top of his dresser until we discovered he was climbing the drawers so it had to come out of his room and I wasn't sure what to do about his night time music. When I found this bear we thought it was a bit expensive but usually all the good toys are haha. So we got this toy for our son and I was very excited for it to arrive. Once it got here I had a bit of trouble figuring out how to get songs I added to play on there but I figured out you have to remove the number of the track for it to work and now my son LOVES this bear. It is his new favorite bedtime Lovey and he screams if it is not with him. It has been one of those toys that it was a really good purchase. I wish the back was a bit different as my son is always exploring the Velcro and pulling out the insides of the bear maybe like snaps or something a bit more difficult for a toddler but so far he hasn't been able to pull out any wires so it seems to be surviving him. As a boy he is fairly rough on his toys so I really hope this toy will hold up to him because he loves the bear that can play his favorite songs. I would buy it again for him and for another child too.

The grandaughter loved her bear. Her parents have downloaded songs onto bear and she is having a great time with her new best friend. Thank you
