5.0 out of 5 stars I love it! Don't understand the negatives at all! December 31, 2007
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I'm really not sure why this book has gotten poor reviews. Yes, it might be nice if the creator's name was attached to the item but this was hardly crucial. I actually enjoyed guessing if I picked the right artist! And these artists are some of my favorites. I found each and every creation exquisite and could not have asked for more. Perhaps the exact items and directions are not mentioned but I think this book should be used for a starting point for your own creations. I personally thought I got more than enough directions and I am certainly a neophyte in this area. I love it. I bought it despite negative reviews and each and every page is surely a "jewel" in its' own right.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hail the Queen -- with an asterick* August 16, 2007
By LKP
Format:Paperback
This is a charming, whimsical, clever and imaginative book. It clearly communicates and affirms the Joy Of Making Things, gives helpful hints about how to actually construct these delightful, excessive, and wonderful crowns; and will put you in touch with your Child Self. I am very happy that I ordered it, and will enjoy having it in my studio. *One complaint, and it's a whopper. Some utterly brilliant and creative artists designed and constructed these crowns and tiaras, and yet the reader is forced to flip to the BACK of the book to discover Who Made Which Crown. Artist credits do not appear with the photography. Not only inconvenient, but (more importantly) an odd way of acknowledging the rampant creativity of this group of Wonder Women. I'd like to toast all the designers who created work for this project. Let's hear it for the Girls!

5.0 out of 5 stars Crowns and Tiaras November 28, 2007
Format:Paperback
What a great book. It brings out the princess in me and makes me feel like a kid again. I can't wait to get started. I plan to make a crown for all our family holidays and all the ladies can take turns wearing it. The photos are wonderful and the instructions make it easy. There are lots of things to choose from, and with the descriptions and photos, it will be easy to add my own touch. I have many, many books on various types of crafts, but this is the best in a long time.
