A lot of fun!,

The story is kind of dated now, but it's a mix of science fiction, alternate reality, Scottish politics and romance that is just charming. It's a bit like 60s-style romantic suspense (a la Elsie Lee) meets 60s-style TV SF, i.e. not to be taken seriously.Would I pay $20 for it? Maybe, since it's an old favorite of mine, but if you've not read her I'd try to find a cheaper version on ebay. This is one of her two best novels though. |
