What can I say? It works and it was cheap. 'Nuff said.

I got this for My Dell Inspiron 531 and it was compatible.

What's not to like? Crucial RAM is good stuff and you can depend on it. If you're not sure exactly what is the right ram for your computer, check out the crucial ram web site. They make it easy. Keep your receipt, they do offer a lifetime warranty!

I bought one of these when I first upgraded my HP Slimline PC last year '08. It was very expensive back then ($40+), maybe I got took by HP. Nowadays, purchasing one of these is a lot cheaper than I expected. My HP Slimline came with a factory RAM of 1.0 GB but in overall of .5 GB (due to installed programs used), the PC was a bit slow when I stored some pictures, videos & games. I decided to upgrade & purchase one of these Crucial 1GB's & installed it myself. It went well with a 1.5 GB overall & My PC ran a better performance on a DSL. Now, currently it has 2.0 GB when I purchased another 1GB here in amazon with a very low price tag. I wish someday these memory module will be available in 2GB models.

This memory upgraded a several year old Vista desktop that had only the original 512MB of RAM. Two of these 1GB sticks and now it hums along like it was supposed to. Easy to install.

Very nice. I replaced the 2 256MB cards I had in my Dell Dimension E310 with 2 of these 1 GB modules and have noticed a great difference.

It used to take several seconds for sub-menus to open on the Start menu, now they open immediately. The whole system feels smoother and cleaner. I wish I had done this upgrade sooner.

Installing them was easy. Someone wrote it took incredible pressure to snap them in.
I suppose it took some extra pressure, but it wasn't a big deal. Using both hands to grasp the card by its sides, I dropped the card in place. The first 'snap' seated it in the slot, but wasn't enough to lock the clips. I positioned myself directly over the top of the card, using my thumb I applied downward pressure on one end, then the other. Click,click both ends were secured by the clips and the memory was recognized on the first try.

Highly recommend this RAM, especially if windows and menus are sluggish.

This Memory Module did not work properly on my computer though it is marked as the same type and size as my existing memory. The vendor (Beach Camera) did nothing to help me solve the problem. They only offered a Refund for return. After several Emails (through Amazon), they suggested that I re-order after my return. I explained that this would not assure me the correct replacement item would work properly. I asked them to manually select the replacement item and check it out to make sure it would work. Instead, they chose to ignore this request and my request for them to call me so we could discuss the situation more clearly! In the end, I was forced to return the module and PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING though it was not my fault it did not work. I had ordered the correct item from them! They provided extremely POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would stay away from them now. On the other hand, Amazon was very good about this situation and even gave me a cortesy credit to help compensate for my extra cost for shipping and unnecessary delays. I then purchased the same item DIRECTLY from CRUCIAL TECHNOLOGIES and it worked properly after they spoke to me about how many chips were on the original module in my computer and matched it. Simple communication worked very well with AMAZON and CRUCIAL Technology. It turns out I had to update my computers Bios Version and match the number of Chips on the memeory module. THE NEW MEMORY IS WORKING PERFECTLY and helped speed up the computer. BEACH CAMERA should learn to treat customers better than they do! Buyer BEWARE!

Put them in and now I have 4 GB of memory (Win-7 64 bit). They also worked great using Windows Vista 32 bit but I only had 3 GB available due to some OS limitation (I think it was due to a 32 bit OS). Everything is faster (could be combination of 4 GB avail using Win-7 64 bit, verses 3 GB avail using Windows Vista, 32 bit).

Paid $11.99 each and shipping was free. I bought 2 of them. Purchased on 04-27-2009 from seller Crucial.

Good memory for the money. The only thing is that the computer sees them as 533 mhz chips, not the 667 mhz they're advertized as--probably not the fault of the chips themselves. These chips are still a bargain either way!

not really a techie , so had to go online to find out how to change the ram.

Crucial sent this to me 2nd day even though I ordered with free super saver option. My wife loves the performance of the desktop with the additional 1GB memory.
