Crucial Memory never fails me!

I've been building PCs for over 13 years, and I use Crucial memory exclusively on all my builds. This set was purchased to add to a new gaming rig, this is a plug and play kit, I didn't need to change the memory timings in my motherboard's UEFI (ASUS 990FX SABERTOOTH R2.0). It just finished a 24 hour memtest run with ZERO errors, which always puts a smile on my face! Just buy it!

Runs at 1600mhz in a Dell XPS 8500!

I can confirm this ram runs at the full 1600mhz in a newly purchased Dell XPS 8500 w/ i7-3770.

Some DDR3-12800 1600mhz ram at CL9/10 will only run at 1333mhz. This has prompted many recommendations to purchase the more expensive CL11 basic value ram from Crucial or Kingston.

On my XPS 8500:

Rev A10 bios reports 1600mhz.

CPU-Z reports 800mhz (x2) with timings of 9-9-9-24.

Also Sisoft Sandra memory benchmarks are higher with this ram than the OEM Samsung @ 1600mhz CL11.

Definitely recommended for the XPS 8500.

Good compatible memory

Got these to leave space for another 16G later if needed in my ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with a 6 core FX (highest speed at 95W for heat control) AMD FX 6100 6-Core Processor, 3.3 6 Socket AM3+ - FD6100WMGUSBX. When booted, the chips were seen and clocked correctly at 1600.

Scores 7.8 on Win7 score. When running board at standard overclock setting, the MB throttles it back down to 1445 but it does so automatically while increasing CPU core and NB Freq up. So these chips are 100% compatible. I'm not a fan of the higher profile memory heat sinks so these are good sticks for the $$$.

If you are looking for 16gb of system RAM, you are at the right place. Crucial is known for making the best system RAM on the market and they have shown that they are at the top. Fast RAM, great price compared to other 16gb of RAM, and super reliable.

Keep this in mind; this RAM is low profile RAM. If you are having problems fitting heatsinks or water coolers in your case due to large RAM heatsinks, look no further. This is the perfect product. This RAM is a MUST buy.

This is Ram Tough

This 2 by 4 GB kit is worth the purchase price for DDR3 checked all its sectors and found no problems some cheaper brands are usually hit or miss and always come with a bad sector or two so that 8GB turns into 7 point something or less but these sticks came complete. First time I bought from Ballistix. But will look to them in the future. I look forward to testing their ability with gaming a TV operation from my computer.

What's to say, it's memory, it tests out with no errors, the testing software says it's delivering it's rated throughput. So far everything works without a hiccup. The MB manufacturer didn't list this memory as being tested on this particular board, but the memory manufacture, listed the MB as tested. They seem to be right.
