Our bottom-end Compaq PC, with Windows XP and only 256M of memory, was taking 30 - 60 seconds to bring up Outlook or Word. I added this 512M board in 5 minutes, start to finish, and the restart recognized it with no problems or alerts. It helped immensely with throughput and we've had no problems with it.

Product received as promised. Removed side from hard drive, discharged static, removed chips from package, plugged them into slots, fired up the PC and was up and running! Went from super duper slow motion to lightening fast operation. Thanks every one.

I purchased this for my aging G4 mac which only had 768mb of RAM and ater installing it, my mac ran faster than I can ever remember. A simple and cheap upgrade such as this is great. I would definitely recommend this to all users trying to speed up their Macs.

Bought this for my niece's PC. Installed ram and PC works great now. Prior to this, the PC was locking up on some programs or just running slow. I've purchased Crucial memory multiple times before and have always found it to work very well.

Works very well. Excellent value for the money. Half what others cost with the identical performance. Received in one day direct from Crucial via USPS. Great product, super price and fast delivery. Can't ask for anything more than that.

My neighbor has a computer that probably belongs in a museum, He decided it was time for an upgrade but refused to buy a new computer. After speaking to a Staples Easy Tech dude, He suggested that the only thing we could do is upgrade the RAM. Bought this after reading the Manuel and it came the next day! Happy with its early delivery I quickly set it up and at first it didn't work. After some troubleshooting, I found out that I had to remove the CMOS battery then add the hardware. So for future reference, remove CMOS battery then upgrade!

It was the right model for my PC, had no trouble installing it and got it really quick in the mail.

Upgraded an older XP HP desktop which can only address 1GB and I have noticed a difference in speed/performance going from 512MB. So far no problems and as usual great price/service from Amazon.
