5.0 out of 5 stars I'm zooming now., September 17, 2010

This review is from: Crucial Technology CT12864AA800 1 GB 240-pin DIMM DDR2 PC2-6400 CL=6 Unbuffered NON-ECC DDR2-800 1.8V 128Meg x 64 Memory (Personal Computers)
My 7-year-old XP was continually running slow and freezing up in spite of considerable maintenance with anti-virus, malware, optimization and registry fix software. My memory meter was always running low. I was concerned about spending money not knowing if the RAM would fix my problems but it did. Now it boots up quickly and never gives me any problems like I had before. VERY HAPPPY.

5.0 out of 5 stars 1 GB Memory Upgrade for Dell Dimension 4700, June 14, 2010

This review is from: Crucial Technology CT12864AA800 1 GB 240-pin DIMM DDR2 PC2-6400 CL=6 Unbuffered NON-ECC DDR2-800 1.8V 128Meg x 64 Memory (Personal Computers)
Our secretary has a Dell Dimension 4700 Plain Jane PC with 512Mb of RAM running Windows XP. She complained that it was slowing down so to keep her happy I pulled out the specs to see what was required for an upgrade. The Dell part number for a 1 GB memory module was A0735470 (aka SNPXG700C/1G). Dell's listed price was $42.99 plus S&H. An online search identified the Crucial Technology part as being equivalent at $25.83 with free S&H from Amazon. My first try at installation squeezed underneath her desk with bad lighting didn't take so I tried repositioning the card again and I finally got it snapped in correctly. After a reboot she was back in business with 1.5 GB of RAM. Total time may have been 10 or 15 minutes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really easy; works really well, February 22, 2010

This review is from: Crucial Technology CT12864AA800 1 GB 240-pin DIMM DDR2 PC2-6400 CL=6 Unbuffered NON-ECC DDR2-800 1.8V 128Meg x 64 Memory (Personal Computers)
I bought four of these for my older Dell E-510. My order was delivered on exactly the day specified when I ordered. It took me about 15 minutes to remove the two old memory cards (256MB each) and install the four new ones. When I restarted my computer it immediately recognized all four gigs; I did not have to do anything else. Everything runs way faster now.

5.0 out of 5 stars cheap, quality for price, January 12, 2010

I bought this for an older Dell that I had at 700Mb memory. I maxed it out with two 1gig memory cards. These fit right in with no trouble at all. The PC reconized them once I booted it up. I certainly see a difference in performance booting the PC up or running programs. I have brought this brand before and haven't had a problem or a bad card yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still in My Computer, April 29, 2011

These RAM sticks are a little hard to really review. I do not notice RAM sticks unless they stop working. I put these sticks in and they worked. When I had some trouble with the computer, I ran several diagnostic programs and these sticks passed every test (I later solved the problem somewhere else in the computer). So far, I have not had any trouble with the Crucial brand (and a few other brands too). I have had to replace one or two from other brands.

Today memory are very inexpensive and for some computer (3 years and older), it's time to increase RAM and hard disk drive. This memory from crucial are well packaged, so you know that no one touched it before. I guess this is very important, because static electricity is fatal for this kind of electronic stuff.
Installing was a breath and after restarting the computer, it is possible to see the new memory.
I installed a pair of this memory and now I have twice as before.
With care, anyone can install it without the need of a qualified technician.

I have no complaints. The memory stick has been working as expected and I'm enjoying the benefits with my computer. The price I got it at was also very reasonable. Great buy!

Crucial Technology CT12864AA800 1 GB 240-pin DIMM DDR2 PC2-6400 CL=6 Unbuffered NON-ECC DDR2-800 1.8V 128Meg x 64 Memory has been a wonderful addition to my already good memory in my Dell Inspiron 530. It seems to be very fast in response time. 4 GB of these bad boys and you will know you have great quality. I reccommend any time you plan on purchasing one of these..It would be better to purchase two of them at one time instead of buying and replacing only one of these. It seems to perfom better that way. Although I didn't notice any instability problems running only one if you absolutely cannot afford two of them at one time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value, Just Works Without Any Problem, October 9, 2009

This review is from: Crucial Technology CT12864AA800 1 GB 240-pin DIMM DDR2 PC2-6400 CL=6 Unbuffered NON-ECC DDR2-800 1.8V 128Meg x 64 Memory (Personal Computers)
My friend needed to speed up his PC (eMachines) running Windows Vista which had only 1 Gb of RAM. I used an utility program to find out that more than 70% percent of memory were already used after Windows finished loading, so at least another gigabyte of RAM was necessary.

I first checked with eMachines for the specifications of memory required (1 Gb 240-pin DIMM DDR2-6400) then I searched for this on Amazon. I have used RAM made by Crucial Technology before and had good experience with its products. So when this item showed up on the screen, and with a price of less than fifteen dollars, I immediately placed an order for one.

The memory arrived the next day. I installed it in my friend's PC in about three minutes. There was absolutely no problem. The upgraded PC just ran faster than when it had only 1 Gb of RAM.

I added this 1 gig to the slim 1 gig memory in the HP PC I bought here also. windoZe Vista runs much faster on 2 gig of memory.
