Bought this for a new CPU that had a 64bit Windows 7 operating system. The cpu came with only 3 GB of memory and I wanted to take full advantage of the 64bit system's capabilities which require a minimum 4GB (2GB + 2GB) memory configuration. As usual with Amazon, ordering and shipping was flawless and the memory arrived no problem. I installed it and fired up my CPU. No problems. The BIOS and Windows 7 recognized the new memory and I didn't have to do anything else. So far, I haven't really noticed a big difference in operating system speeds just yet over the 3 GB version, however, I understand that the additional memory in the 64bit system will help more when running multiple programs at the same time. I'm sure the additional memory won't hurt in any case, and I'm very happy with the system and speed and this memory.

I have a five year old computer with 1GB RAM and with all the new programs coming out in 2010-11 my computer was not fast enough to run all of these programs at moderate speed. I could hear my computer gasping for air whenever I tried to play a game or open multiple programs. I ordered this memory card and received it in 4 days. After installing it my computer was ehh about it, but in a couple of hours i could see the difference.tl;dr: buy this card if your computer is running slow/has low RAM

Well I was trying to figure out how far I could push my pc as a gaming machine and I had already upgraded the RAM once with a single slot of the same chip. My machine ran Oblivion wonderfully (above average settings) so I wondered what other game was within easy reach of my PC and low-and-behold Mass Effect, a game I enjoyed even though only playing a few hours on a friends 360, was not only playable but - with a single expansion of similiar memory - it could run at high settings. So I bought a second card and couldn't be happier. Game runs great, looks great (thanks to NVIDIA's updating), and Vista doesn't have a heartattack if I'm running either game with a program or two in the background (It does take issue with Oblivion for some reason if I window out but I'm sure that's software related not my PC's memory capacity. Would definitely recommend this as a cheap but potentially game changing (pun) little upgrade for any PC (manufactured in the last three years) that supports it.
