This book clearly states on its cover "Western Stories". However, only one of the stories is Western in nature."Crucifixion River", the story, is compelling and creative, not to mention WESTERN, which "Crucifixion River", the book, is most definitely not. This is a very strange little volume containing unrelated, unwestern, random and mostly bad stories that include horror, mystery, unrecognizable genre and one good western tale. If you must read it, check it out at the library and return it after you have finished the first story.
