Well Written & Enjoyable,
By A Customer
This review is from: Cruel Legacy (Hardcover)
This is the only Penny Jordan book that I have read and I enjoyed it tremendously. A businessman by the name of Andrew Ryecart commits suicide and it dramatically changes the lifes of not only his widow but three other women. It was well written and never boring. The best part is that the author did a terrific job tying all the plots and characters together. There were no loose ends left so instead of questions you were left with an enjoyable read.

Insulting to Nurses,
By J. Jones "Home Lover" (Florida. USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cruel Legacy (Hardcover)
Penny Jordan's book 'Cruel Legacy' is extremely insulting to the nursing profession. When Sally, a registered nurse meets up with patient Kenneth a university professor, the author suggests that she in no way matches either his educational or social standing. I looked at the date of the copyright since I had assumed Ms Jordan must have been writing in the early years of the twentieth century but it was given as 1994. Ms. Jordan needs to do some research before she makes statements about the educational level of nurses. Most Registered Nurses have Bachelor's degrees and a great many nurses have Master's and Doctorate degrees in nursing. As a nurse I find Ms. Jordan's style of writing far too simplistic for my taste and the plot is also very thin. Her writing lacks sophistication and therefore is less than entertaining.
