New Age laughter therapy and electric karma,
By Daria MacClellan, film fan (SF Bay Area) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cruel and Unusual Intuition: A Karma Crime Mystery (Paperback)
I got energized reading this book, mostly from laughing. There was a lot of funny satire on alternative healing and the types of people who get into it. There was some serious stuff too about different kinds of healers. I had no idea there were so many kinds of methods. I laughed a lot at how the healers workshop turned into a boot camp with Aurora Hart being the New Age drill sergeant--or maybe leech. Part of the fun of this mystery was seeing the murder victim's karma catch up to her. There was a serious side to the motivation part. It was interesting how Cally could see auras, but not tell who the murderer was because everyone had secrets. Cally Lazar was a fun read, and I like the twist at the end where she was almost killed by....but I won't say what it was or who. You'll have to read it yourself.
