5.0 out of 5 stars Travel humor has a new star in Dr. Kruz Nutty
This is a marvel of a little book. The new dictionary for cruise addict behavior (The Cruise Line Lexicon) will keep you occupied (and giggling) for hours! And if you're having a hard time counting the days until your next cruise comes, this book is the perfect guilty pleasure for anyone who loves to cruise. (And others who wonder why we're so addicted!) Not bad at all...

3.0 out of 5 stars Cruise Crazy
What a wonderful, cute little book. The illustrations are just great and they describe my friends and I perfectly. I got so involved with each step of cruise addiction and called my cruise agent to set up my next cruise.
This is a must read before you ever get on the boat or if you have a severe addiction and have cruised many times.

5.0 out of 5 stars Humorous tool for cruise addicts, November 14, 2007
This review is from: Cruise Crazy: The Cruise Addict's Survival Guide (Paperback)
Thank you, Dr. Nutty! I read this last night (addicted to both cruises and reading!) and thoroughly enjoyed it. This book is a useful tool to be used during all stages of cruise addiction. I can see myself picking it up to read sections or chapters when the need arises. It was a pleasure to read. Laugh-out-loud funny and/or just plain silly. What fun!

Dr. Nutty's survival guide is exactly what I needed to get through until my next cruise. I'm so glad that I found this book. It's funny amd definitely describes my addictive behavior from picking the perfect cruise through the end when I'm forced off the ship when the cruise ends.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book!, February 15, 2008
This review is from: Cruise Crazy: The Cruise Addict's Survival Guide (Paperback)
This book is really great! It is very well-written, Dr. Nutty has a fantastic sense of humor and can qualm any pre-cruise, post-cruise, and cruise fears! There are some good tips to help you cope with inter-cruise times. Over all, it was a great read!

4.0 out of 5 stars When you get back....., August 10, 2008

Had Dr. Nutty's book been around after my first cruise
then I might have had more laughs versus dull stares into space!
This is just plain fun, as was your last cruise. No travel advice
for your fave destination in Europe, nor neat pictures of ships that existed at publication date. Those books are boring! That is timely information that changes.
You are trying to find others who are in your mindset, and this book fits in! Nobody else gets it, but YOU DO! Timeless!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cruise Crazy is spot on!, August 15, 2008

I recently read this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved Chapter 3 about being a "traumatic traveler" because that's exactly what I am. Plus the part about "Seaport Personality Syndrome" made me laugh because it really describes how I feel when I get to my port city and board the ship. It's all good though. If you love cruising, you'll love this book for what it is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yes, I am a cruise addict!!!, August 7, 2008
By
This review is from: Cruise Crazy: The Cruise Addict's Survival Guide (Paperback)
"Cruise Crazy" was recommended to me by a passenger on my latest cruise as an entertaining way to help me get over the post-cruise blues and to help figure out just how cruise addicted I am. It was a fast and funny read and I don't know how many times I thought - how does Dr. Nutty know me?? I tried several of his suggestions and they really helped me out. I now have a cruise corner in my bedroom - with my homemade towel swan and a collection of tiny umbrellas among other souvenirs. It's my go to spot when I need a little cruise fix. I would absolutely recommend this book to any cruise fan who has a tough time getting back into the real world after living in a fantasy world on the sea for a week. Since I now know that I'm a top-of-the-line cruise addict I guess I should start packing for my next cruise!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Cornball humor at is best/worst, February 21, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cruise Crazy: The Cruise Addict's Survival Guide (Paperback)
I love cruises and books on cruises. I've bought so many of them from Amazon that I've lost count. Of all the cruise books I've read, this is the only one I truly dislike. The humor is so cornball.

The narrator of the book is "Dr. Kruz Nutty". Dr. Nutty's picture is shown throughout the book posing in various situations involving cruises. In each picture he wears a stethoscope, white lab coat, and captain's hat while sporting thought balloons including "Wowza...Caribbean Cosmos are the bomb!", "Virroomm!", and "Awwww....I wove my wittle inflatable cruise ship!"

If you find this kind humor to be funny, then buy the book. If not, save your money and buy one of these excellent books: Berlitz Complete Guide to Cruising, any of the Anne Vipond cruise books, Frommer,s Cruises and Ports of Call, any of the John Maxtone-Graham books, any of the William H. Miller books, and Permanent Passenger: My Life on a Cruise Ship, Cruise Confidential: A Hit Below the Waterline.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique and funny cruise book, August 7, 2008

I found this book to be very unique and humorous and I wouldn't even call myself a cruise addict - although I like cruising. You have to understand the humor and I "got it", so it was very enjoyable with some very clever ideas. For $10, you can't go wrong and I recommend it to everyone.
