This collection of hits by some of the best artists of the times, including Bo Diddley, Dinah Washington, and Chuck Berry, brings back a lot of memories. Along with the commercials and ads between songs, and Hunter Hancock spinning the platters, this really brings the late '50s back to life. Add this to your collection!

A great glimpse into the past. Too bad it doesn't include more soundchecks from that year.

This CD should not be offered for sale by Amazon. The original LP vinyl's were well produced. The CD is crap, some songs missing, songs mislabeled, tracks overlapping. I love this Disc Jockey and this music. This is my youth. I feel humiliated by this product.

I bought this to be part of a varied playlist for a 50th birthday party. When I load the CD into iTunes, the playlist and songs were from a different year even though 1959 was on the jewel case and the CD itself.

It turned out that that the songs on the CD were actually the ones they were supposed to be but the timing was off. If a song on the playlist was 2 minutes and 30 seconds long but the erroneously listed song was 3 minutes long, the first 30 seconds of the next song played. Plus the songs were interspersed with DJ commentary and commercials. So an individual song "file" could start in the middle of a song, have some DJ commentary or a commercial and then start the beginning of another song. If you were playing all the songs in order - it would have been fine (as long as the DJ/commercial stuff was OK with you). Since this was part of a larger themed playlist that was going to be played in Shuffle mode - it did not sound good at all. I deleted the songs from my playlist.

Wasted money!

Before purchasing you should listen to the samples. If you're expecting a CD of these songs you'll be surprised because of all the ads and the DJs comments. Not at all what I was expecting.
